Surprising news that they have just been relieved of their duties at Huddersfield even though they kept them from being relegated

Interesting who they now have in mind for the revolving door lol

a very odd move, OK they were not in promotion form but had it not been for the cowley they would probably have been relegated. Are the club been deluded or simply looking at a cheap appointment from within the club. This is proof again that it rarely ends well when managers leave a steady club to go to a bigger club thats on a downward spiral

The club are deluded. Think they are much better than they are. Look at the form and where they were when they arrived they should be grateful they stayed up.

I'm guessing the Cowleys must have something else lined up already. Hull? Birmingham?
These go to eleven.

Madness. Huddersfield hadn't won a single game when they took over. They took the same squad from adrift in last place to safety.

Unless the brand of football didn't appeal and safety achieved, thanks boys.

They’d be a good fit somewhere like Charlton.

One of my customers is a big Lincoln fan and pretty well connected there. He told me how much of a pay-rise the pair got and the length of contract they were given which if true will mean a lovely pay-off for them.

It's mostly this. From their early press release, the club said safety was achieved and now they're looking to move the club in a different direction.

an as theyve said they arent looking for applicants it seems the club knows which direction its moving in.
udders last game is wednesday, youd have thought theyd have let the cowleys stop in charge for that & then announce the decision the next day

And made him a millionaire? Was it a ever publicly stated what the contracts given were, time-wise?

Great guys both of them.
I still wish we had appointed Nicky a couple of years ago.

Certainly don’t think they’re anywhere near millionaires though!!

Whenever I read about them I see comments like 'terrible, dull football' and 'behave like idiots on the touchline'. If that's true it doesn't buy you much time unless you're consistently in top 6 in pretty much any division.

I wonder if these bros will turn into another version of Martin Allen. Or Pulis. Or Allardice.

One trick ponies who'll do a job at certain clubs playing a certain brand of football.

Dunno what it was like at Hudders but definitely direct at Lincoln two years ago.

Okay, many of us were prepared to tolerate such stuff as long as it worked, but we then saw what happened when it didn't...
Never underestimate the stupidity of people

They aren't a double act though. Danny Cowley has always been the manager.

Thinking about it they prob actually were- keeping house in Essex/London borders, another in Lincoln area etc- easily a mill there (a mill nowadays isn’t what it was)
