I thought the questions were fine last night, I don’t know what people are moaning about, it’s a multi choice quiz so there will be either a knowledge or a guessing (educated?) basis to it. Last night was fine and there has been a number of different winners which is how it should be, otherwise folk would lose interest.
I staged a late run to second place last night so I suppose I would be reasonably happy with the questions 😁

I’d have rather it was kept as it was and I could have won every week but I appreciate others have to given a chance!

Next Wednesday's quiz, to match up with tonight's naming announcement, is a 'New Stadium Special' with plenty of questions where knowledge will help immensely, so expect to see Westbars back in contention!!!

I bailed after Q7 this week - the stream dropped, most likely terminally I thought and so I put ‘Millionaire’ on.

Wouldn’t mind an iPad for the lad so tonight’s is looking a good option.

Apparently, next weeks quiz theme is disaster and disappointment.

I think the answer is A. Ashley Carson

Thought last night's quiz was really good , I always prefer it when the questions are knowledge based rather than guess work. I cocked up though on one answer which I knew trying to be quick on the buzzer and pressed the wrong one , it probably cost me in the end because I finished 4th but only 30 off of 1st place!! I'm still kicking myself!

As Westbars Spireite has said before, when he won Quizzes 2 & 3, which were largely knowledge based, I set out to modify the format slightly to even things out, which worked well (for me). Having had ten different winners in the first 11 quizzes, it's gradually iterating back to having more knowledge based questions and some 'intelligent punt' ones in there as the laurels have been spread round.

The first and second places this week were both extremely knowledgeable Spireites whilst the 3rd placed person said they'd had plenty of 'wild guesses' indicating there's room for everyone. With Westbars Spireite also being thereabouts as was Boca Seniors and other well informed players, clearly knowledge earned you plenty of points, but speed remains the key.

Disappointments and Disasters next week (#13) and Super Jack will be the topic of #14.

Clearly the live football and more people being back at work saw numbers fall last night, but 120 is still a great following.

Hope you're still enjoying it.

Still enjoying the quizzes a lot Phil and both Nick and yourself deserve credit for putting these on for us all. Regarding the speed bit though I mostly start pressing the keypad well before the clock starts and then keep pressing until the clock starts and the most points I have scored is 32. As anyone ever scored more than 35? I must admit though my laptop and phone aren't the best so that might not help!!!

The delay is generally about 7 or 8 seconds so 32 is pretty close to the maximum.

Four of those were in my lounge. Both of my kids played too as they did for the family one which they really enjoyed. The live game (which I was happy to miss the first half of) probably took a chunk of people away but I wouldn't be surprised to see numbers increase next week.

I finished 3rd and I have to say a fairly even split of my answers were knowledge v educated or wild guesses. Some weeks I’ve had all my guesses wrong so guess I was due a bit of luck but I certainly had plenty. Was 4 or 5 complete stabs in the dark which were all right somehow

I think for 17/20 questions, the correct answer was the most popular. The three I remember not being so was the last Q when people jumped in with Zavon Hines, but clue two was 'his first 17 appearances brought no wins' - Zavon scored on the opening day to beat Ebbsfleet, so I assumed that would be the vital clue! Sam Morsy missing the pen at Walsall was another, with villain Liam O'Neil assumed as the misser, whilst the other I predicted a mass of wrong answers, assuming people would think Chiedozie was the newest boy in the 90 POF, Lee Francis seemed to slip in almost unnoticed!

Obviously the weather and the football made a big difference to numbers last night and next week's Qui2 #14 Jack Lester Special will be the last before the pubs open, so I see a review coming on!
