Had a quick look based on PPG as things stand and not a lot changes in terms of positions...top 6 stay the same order and bottom four are the same with the only real change being Barnet jump from 11th to 7th and the last play off space if they do the play offs as they would normally.

Today's proposal seems to be that there will be no NL north or south play-offs, and that therefore only one will go down from NL. a shocking reward for failure. You wonder if the number of votes Fylde needed to swing this is the same as the number of people their chairman invited to his party.

Yep just seen this tweet with the following tables as they will stand under this :-

Ollie Bayliss @Ollie_Bayliss 1h
I understand that the National League is proposing this method for deciding the season:
Places decided on PPG
Top clubs promoted
Playoffs at Step 1 but NOT Step 2
Bottom Step 1 side relegated
No Step 2 relegation
Clubs have until Monday to vote on the proposal.

Looks like that would mean we dont get a trip to York but Kings Lynn instead!

Harsh on York - I bet they won’t vote for it

I guess it is a combination of NLN and NLS releasing all their players and the EFL only relegating one. I suppose they could relegate 3 and promote the top 2 in each division. That’s probably where Fylde’s select gathering comes in handy. Bet the lunch was good

The league have told clubs it's Government Policy which has led to their proposal of no play offs for leagues North & South

A September start with supporters in the grounds seems fanciful to say the least.

I don’t feel sorry for York. Never did us any favours in our sad days

Never let a sleeping dog lie.

Douglas Craig wasn’t it, friend of Norton Lee and nearly as bad as Darren Brown. He’s dead isn’t he? Anyway you not feeling sorry doesn’t change the fact it’s harsh. We’d be spitting blood if it happened to us but more importantly, it’s a very handy away trip. I’d certainly make the effort with a lot of others as long as we’ve not gone 12 without a win. I suppose Kings Lynn will be interesting.

I think want aware he was dead but then again it’s not something I’d be looking our for. One decent thing he did was to vote against a Wimbledon moving to a Milton Keynes etc

Wouldn’t take a lot of effort to go to York. Think last time we went there was a cracking deal on the train 12 quid return. If they came up we’d take 1500.

If it was us I’d be more than spitting feathers but still doesn’t mean I feel sorry for York. You never seen anyone with two faces.

according to bbc article, national league clubs get one vote on this latest proposal with NLN and NLS clubs getting 4 votes each, anyone know why they get 4 votes each? seems a bit odd

Each division (N&S) gets four votes. Still odd, though.

So every club in the National League gets a vote then the other divisions have to decide between all the clubs where their 4 votes will go?

That's my understanding. I assume there'll be some form of proportional representation.

I'm not so sure it does, the social distancing thing will be reduced from 2 to 1m in the next month imho, in times for pubs etc opening on they 4th of July and also to get more folks into the shops spending. Then assuming no real second spike it'll be removed altogether early August.

Its 2 votes for each of those leagues afaik, to ensure they have virtually no influence on the outcome

This report states the EFL are threatening to reduce the promotion spot from the National League to one if the apparent current proposal goes ahead

Probably, can't see how they could do that if the rules allow the National League to do what they propose although I do think it's wrong

Why would EFL clubs be remotely bothered about how many get relegated from our division?
