Despite everything we're still seen as one of the bigger outfits, so it was the Club rather than any one individual invited.
As our friend 'Dim' says it'd be a positive gesture if someone else were to represent us, a member of the Trust perhaps.
However we need look no further than the cringeworthy 'chairman of Chesterfield' video to see how things work down there...
Do you not think that Haythornthwaite contacted the CFC regarding these discussions and it was decided by CFC that AC should be the representative at this time? I know they may be one of the same thing but I am not convinced AC's master has been totally kept in the dark.
I fully agree I would prefer that the CFC representative to be from the Trust but the fact of the matter is that at this point in time the Trust own nowt and have no say and, as such, cannot play a part. Obviously, if and when, they complete any takeover they can replace AC with their chosen one to be CFC's representative on this sub-committee but not until. Same goes for any other new owner.
