Well what a shock

https://www.theguard...ominic-cummings

He was an active member after all. Love how the government won’t say if he attended previous meeting when the ‘test and trace’ strategy was dropped and ‘herd mentality’ option was taken up

Oops meant ‘herd immunity’

Not one but TWO 'advisors' at a supposedly independent meeting, then.

Clearly Cummins needed back-up in case someone, somewhere didn't quite get the message.

But unqualified and unelected bureaucrats dictating policy?

Sooooo glad we left the EU 'cos we Brits don't tolerate that kinda thing.

Anyway, what's needed is an investigation and report exposing the whole shady business.

Y'now, just like the one lifting the lid on all that Russian interference in British politics...

No but because he's a vile person who believes in eugenics proven by the creature he hired. Maybe you believe in eugenics that's why you like him and the Tories.

So simply put, he is not fit to be in any part of government, rather than meeting A,B or C?
A new hope.

Hospitalisation rates due to Covid 19 now being reported as falling. That’s good news.
A new hope.

I read he’s been involved in some capacity or other with the Tory party since the mid 90s.

It’s only recently that I’d heard of him though. Not sure I’d want to share a room with him.
A new hope.

So how/why has he managed to maintain his status/position/influence? What makes him the “ go to “ man for the likes of Gove and Johnson?

Pretty sure he isnt paid to be liked, just like union officials arent. Or people who do my job. It doesnt make him a bad person. Although he probably is...

Was his the best approach to the crisis? we will never know and it wouldnt be my view, but when the recession hits, jobs are lost and taxes go up, should we remember what he wanted to do?

Stop being so self righteous for a change and climb down off your high horse, I hate the man because he was willing to sacrifice old people for the economy, because he believes in eugenics and yes for being a tory. I'm surprised you don't know him, you seem to know someone connected to almost every topic on this board

Nope I dont do politics or their connections. Except the MP for part of a west yorkshire town - labour.

All of life is a compromise, we could save more people if we spent more on NHS, we could probably save people who dont really have a quality of life.

And its not self righteous, you set yourself up by being so black and white, I dislike politicians, PR gurus above all - but they are doing a job, doesnt make him a bad individual he is just looking for what might be best for country. You may disagree, I disagree - but it doesnt make him a waste of oxygen anymore than you who seems to want him dead...

But have a good week, hope it goes well and your family and friends stay safe.

There’s seeing things in black and white like Fish does and there’s being the epitome of a centrist like you are where you seem to land dead centre on every single issue going. Neither are desirable, though I would definitely side with Fish on not backing somebody saying they’re happy for a few elderly folk to die, whereas, like usual, you’re trying to find the perfect centre to every comment a politician has said.

‘Why are you calling him a bad person? Because he’s a Tory? Oh, because he believes in eugenics and he’s ok sacrificing old folk. Ok, he probably is a bad person. But still, you shouldn’t say that, and it doesn’t make him worse than you’.

Watching you try and stay in the perfect centre at all times is like watching a robot overheating saying ‘does... not... compute’.

Simple answer to that, pal - he gets results.

Instrumental in the 'leave' campaign and putting Bozo where he is.

Not sure who's the puppet and who's pulling the strings, here (even top tories have spoken against him - then there was Sajid Javid's exit) but it speaks to the current state of politics that those who shouted loudest against unelected EU officials will tolerate this 'advisor'.

But anyway, let's not allow this to distract us (perhaps intentionally) from the real issues: https://www.msn.com/...ocid=spartandhp

I am pretty centrist because i think that is best for most people most of the time, rather than trying for an extreme that makes a few very happy and more than a few unhappy.

But I think saying someone is a waste of oxygen is about the same as wishing him dead - which is seemingly what Fish dislikes him for.

For what its worth, I do believe that there is a place for the Swiss model on ending life voluntarily and putting people out of their misery.

I dislike Cummins though, and his ilk.
