And quite rightly so, nothing is mathematically certain so any decision on promoting or relegating teams is flawed.

Not sure any of the effected clubs will have the clout to do anything other than moan

I think part of Harrogates complaint will be they have Barrow to play which PPG wont take into account. This said normally two are promoted so would they promote the top two with no scope for playoffs to be played? Will the EFL accept two clubs when they could effectively take Barrow without having to relegate anyone on their part to cover the spot left by Bury.

Be interesting to see what clubs and where kick up a fuss over things. Whatever solution is taken a club is going to be put out someway or another so we'll see who can do a Partick was it and just take it on the chin and get on with things. Football will have been delayed enough without clubs delaying things with legal action to get their own way.

I think Partick have done the decent thing and come to terms with the fact that appointing Caldwell justly results in relegation.

So I guess this latest Conference decision means we are safe from demotion into regional football?

Well if they decide on anonymous committee sitting in a dark room dreaming up scenarios or predicting results as some on here want we won’t be safe. Thankfully the chance of that is 0%

At least we can release loads of players and dig the pitch up.

Couple of tweets from Jalal and Buchanan suggesting thats them done with CFC :-

Shwan Jalal @JalalGK 10m
With today’s breaking news, I would like to wish the @ChesterfieldFC fans the very best of luck and health in whatever the future may hold.
This season has not been what was expected but your support never wavered.
Stay safe Blue circleWhite circleSoccer ball
Shwan

David Buchanan @_Buchs
With today’s announcement that the season is officially over. I want to say thanks to everyone at @ChesterfieldFC for welcoming me to the club. Fans, staff, the club staff and team mates. Very disappointing season on the pitch, but we learn and grow together. All the best

Two of our better players, Buchanan especially. He will be 34 soon but may well be worth another year... I suppose it’s difficult to offer anyone terms at the moment, though.
These go to eleven.

I thought Buchanan had another year? If so it would be interesting if he’s going.

I did too, maybe we didn't exercise an option or a deal has been done.

I expect he'd be a relatively high earner

It would be a shame if he was to go, he was consistently one of our best players once he got over the fitness problem earlier in the season. The understanding was that he'd signed on a two year deal.

Buchanan’s tweet doesn’t necessarily indicate that he is leaving. He mentions ‘growing together ’ which suggests he may stay.
These go to eleven.

Be interesting to see if Jalal calls it a day or carries on elsewhere.

Retirement for Jalal presumably.

They're living in cloud cuckoo land if they think that's going to happen.
