Was that when the country was left bankrupt Browns government left the message in Downing Street saying the money was all gone?
Funny how you remember a tongue-in-cheek note from ten years ago but mountains of recent lies don't seem to register.
But anyway, we both know this is a wind-up so I'm not gonna bother educating you on the worldwide economic crash, triggered by the US sub-prime markets trading toxic debts, which GB helped address. Infact many believe led the way in addressing.
I'll instead eschew political alliances to acknowledge and applaud Sunak adopting a similar approach faced with similar problems. Which'll probably leave the country facing similar debts, too.
Of course it'll be interesting to see how those debt's are dealt with. Because his predecessors not only politicised Brown's actions to the hilt - despite advocating even fewer financial regulations themselves - but imposed the very austerity that's exacerbated the current crisis.
I say the costs of Covid should be shared accross the board, with no benefit cuts for some alongside tax cuts for others. Meanwhile no right wing politician or representative of some suspiciously funded lobby group should ever advocate public service cuts again.
So are you with or against me in that, pal?
