And Patrick won’t mount a legal challenge to their relegation. Interesting reasoning.

Fair play to them I say. Very mature statement, I don't think you'd be seeing similar statements from some clubs south of the border if the EFL followed suit.

Another good statement from a club here - East Fife - https://eastfifefc.i...lution-covid-19

Be interesting to see how this pans out - https://www.standard...obox=1587118228

Could be live on Sky Sports, could be live on iFollow, could be free for ST holders etc. Clubs returning to training on 16th May doesnt give them too long to get back up to speed based on the dates we're working too either.

What's the "ELF season"? 😂

"The ELF season has been delayed indefinitely, following a similar decision by the Premier League, as the coronavirus pandemic halted elite sport across the globe".
Life goes on. Whatever happens.

Yup. Still no communication to the fans (nor the clubs as far as we can see), who are reliant on local reporters’ enquiries.
‘Vote to end the season, and then see what we’ve got up our sleeve for you regarding promotion and relegation’ seems to be the plan.

In theory a two stage voting process wasn't that bad an idea, but perhaps they should have listed the options they were considering in the second vote

The complete lack of communication is beyond belief. And why did the NL North and South only have 4 votes each?

I wonder how many NL clubs have the ability to screen matches live if they end up playing behind closed doors. I suppose we still use the iFollow platform so it shouldn't be impossibe.

They'll be waiting to see what the EFL or ELF decide to do.

The FL are going to crack on and finish the season so that means Stevenage will probably be relegated, so the NL will have to promote 2 teams and conclude their season in some way, it won't be null and void i'm sure.

I thought the NL may go down the PPG route to settle it, but having seen the plans the FL have drawn up, they may follow suit and crack on and try to finish it as we can't start the new season until the FL do anyway.

Like previously said money talks, and the contracts and sponsorships etc will sadly play a big role in what happens, not necessarily what is best for the game.

Watch this space I guess.

No decision yet on promotion and relegation issues yet Chris.

A second round of voting on various options is to take place next month.

Don't think Barrow's fate has been decided yet

"The options concerning the sporting outcomes of the 2019/20 season remain under careful and timely consideration, and further updates will be given in due course"

Sounds like the hard decisions have yet to be made?

Seems as they've decided to announce its cancelled as word was out anyway and even though there are clubs still to vote it wont make any difference hence the fact that even though its cancelled what it actually means is stil to be decided. I suspect anything regarding promotion for Barrow etc is reliant partly on the EFL and what the do as well.

Really hope Barrow will get their promotion.

Let's not forget they were shafted at the end of the 1971/2 season when despite finishing third from bottom of the table with both Stockport County and Crewe who finished below them staying up.

This decision due to southern base clubs not wanting to travel the long journey up to Cumbria.

And quite rightly so, nothing is mathematically certain so any decision on promoting or relegating teams is flawed.

We had a conference call (geddit)!? And it’s believed PPG is still the preferred option but some clubs prepared to fight that legally if necessary (not sure which ones but can probably take a guess)

It’s interesting that points/game doesn’t change the top nine positions or the bottom four positions in the current standings in our division, so it shouldn’t be very contentious regarding calculating the final standings. Not sure about the NLS and NLN but I guess the solution will have to consistent across

If the remaining games are scrubbed (including playoffs) then I can only see 4 clubs wanting results nulled. Barrow will definitely be against that and probably Harrogate depending on how many go up.
