You can go back years and not have much competition in fairness.

I really hope (I won't say pray cos I don't and won't) he gets through this for himself and his family above all never mind the absolute mess that would be left behind.

While not really being a fan of Blair, I just didn’t see him as a genuine man, a shallow man, a liar, he did take the difficult decisions to say “if you want to make things better, you need to be in power”
I think he did want to make things better, I really believe that he did, you need to appeal to the majority he was at the time the breath of fresh air that was needed. He got carried away, and fell into the trap of believing his own hype and his own invulnerability.

And you make a really really good point actually, about the mess left behind. Putting everything else aside, Boris has United his party. Were he to fall, his party and the majority he commands would fall into chaos and we really don’t need a Conservative party with such a huge majority falling into chaos. That would be really really really bad.
At least Boris has his reputation and career on the line to hold him to task (what’s most important to him after all) so there is, albeit limited restraint on the blue party. Take that away, the all the worst of the likes of Reece Mogg and his outside interests would be unleashed on the nation, and the in 4 years time all the countries illsmblamed on corona. A get out of jail free card for them to unleash another 5 years of Mogg snout in the trough.

A new hope.

poor bloke, who could've known that shaking hands with patients suffering from coronavirus could cause this, it's just out of the blue, if only we had some way of knowing!!! oh the humanity

It was later clarified he meant shaking hands with the staff

I don't disagree and the clarification may not have been correct but the advice at the time was wash your hands and it's okay

It is, deaths in Italy falling now, also note that in Italy they now have their own version of Eyam. This might actually prove to be very very useful going forward. A real case study of transmission rates, infection rates, effects of social distancing etc. Will prove useful for other continents who lag behind Europe in the rate of infections.

Austria implementing an interesting first step of an exit strategy.
A new hope.

You really are a cock. What sort of comment is that. Really? What is that meant to mean

I remember you, on the old rivals site.

Do you remember what you said about the teacher, the teddy bear and Mohammed?

Most right minded people blamed the 7th century doctrine that has no place in the modern world, and condemned the treatment of this western teacher.

You blamed her lack of cultural sensitivities. That's a good ten years ago. I haven't taken you seriously since then, although I have tried to engage with you in debate and not let this influence discussion - clearly a futile exercise and a waste of time.

First and foremost he is a dad, son , brother, partner, family man. Whether you like him or loathe him or hate his politics or not, tonight he is a family man fighting for his life. If you cant see that then you maybe need to look at yourself a bit....

In that case, I offer my apologies.

Don’t bother

The chance that someone else used that user name is minimal - I still have no idea what you are on about.

And really that is my last response

I agree - he is all of that - never said he wasn’t

Not sure what you are objecting to. I hope he didn’t harm anyone whilst shaking hands?

Well people can draw their own conclusions from your withdraw from this. And agreed, this is probably left best alone so this too will be my last response.

Be aware though, there’s clearly a Scunthorpe hacker who’s after your personal information - make sure you update your anti virus software

Blimey, just an innocent comment. Rabb willl be Johnson's standin for at least 14 days if protocol is observed, but probably better discussed on another thread
