Not sure how any work of that nature fits in with what I saw described earlier.

How you mean?
All work is essential if it means putting food on the table etc!

Apart from the PM and cabinet why are MP’s working? How is Piers Morgan allowed to work in the mornings? Weather girls? Etc etc you get my drift

Unfortunately it's the Government definition that counts.

https://www.gov.uk/g...ional-provision

Alas Morgan is amongst them being a journalist/broadcaster delivering public service broadcasting.

Unfortunately all work isn't deemed essential regardless whether it puts food on the table or not.

I listen to shows on LBC, Talk Radio and watch Question Time and up until this outbreak, I have never heard of any reports concerning the supply of PPE in the NHS. We are seeing unprecedented levels of WORLDWIDE demand for such products to tackle what I hope, perhaps stupidly, is a one-off issue. Add into the equation the provinces where these items are manufactured, the fact that factories were shut in January due to communities being in lockdown, manufacturers being under pressure to satisfy home markets, supply to global markets was inevitably going to be tested.

If people think other sectors are awash with products, think again. Most manufacturers and importers are prioritising consignments for NHS Supply Chain, if and when they receive them.

You're right. NO government was or could've been prepared for this plague.

However Johnson clearly stated they'd been stockpiling such PPE at a presser last week. Only for Hancock to yesterday admit that wasn't the case after days of frontline staff saying as much.

I suppose a PM has some leeway in terms of quelling panic at a time like this, but his catalogue of previous means this one had even more reason to be straight.

By the way, I've just seen Farage hammering the government on TV. Why they think the unelected leader of a defunct party is in any way relevent I've no idea, though I look forward to our friend 'S&D' condemning him for politicising current events...

He tried, he failed. Shame as I really wanted some Lonsdale sweat bands and a mug that holds more than my kitchen sink.

I'm at the Missus' house tonight. I suppose technically I'm not even allowed to drive home tomorrow (cat will be dead if I don't go home at some point) and despite having 50/50 custody of my children am technically not supposed to pick them up tomorrow as usual either.

However, presumably killing animals is presumably not being encouraged and I will walk the mile I need to pick my kids up as part of my permitted daily excercise once I've got home.

Sure i saw a reply from Derbyshire Police to someone asking a similar question later on last night where they said as kids are classed as vulnerable then you are ok to pick them up barring other issues relating to self isolating etc.

I sure do condemn him, blame the broadcasters though for giving him the airtime

I was thinking exactly the same yesterday when Alistair Campbell popped up. Why the BBC should give air time in a conversation about openness to a proven liar on that very subject is a bludddy disgrace. Who do they think wants to listen to him?

Any road up, does anyone think this is a goer?

If members of an extended family, that's Grandparents, parents, child, all self isolate in their two homes for 14 days and show no symptoms, is it ok and sensible for them all to congregate in the larger of the two homes for the rest of the lock down? I can see benefits, and we'd have to be pretty stupid or very unlucky to contract the virus thereafter. Have I missed summat?

Well done, pal.

And I fully agree.

I have never understood the broadcasters infatuation with Farage. He's a nobody.

Day one

Decorated the downstairs toilet, took the dog out for an hour, did the Joe Wicks PE family workout the the Mrs and the lad, one million watching that live stream around the globe at 9.00am which I thought was mightily impressive
Had a game of keepy uppy in the garden, 20 minutes on the treadmill

I’m on this 80% thing and hopefully the company will top it up, Mrs classed as vulnerable so just SSP but her place is still open as it’s food related

Looks like it’s nice again tomorrow so thinking about painting the garden bench

On hearing ill rumour that Londoners may soon be urged into their lodgings, I looked upon the street to see a gaggle of striplings making fair merry, and spreading the plague well about. Not a care had these rogues for the health of their elders!”

One things for sure - when all this is over there’s certain big companies that deserve our custom and other ones we should boycott and never use again

How was the Pat Wicks workout?
Lot of people doing it - but getting loads of abuse in the ‘fitness community’ (probably jealousy as he’s raking it in this week)!

I wouldn’t know how to critique it really

But, the three of us did it without getting bored and plan to tune in again tomorrow so that’s a good sign I imagine
