not sure if its tom hingley solo or with his band the karpets. not very often you get a tribute band fronted by the proper bands original singer.

seen the line up for bolsovers under the castle?

£59.50 plus fees standing. Seats cheaper but none showed as available. I'll probably sell 2 as not much interest from people.

Saw them a few years ago at Manchester Arena and it was really good. Went mainly as the other half really likes them and i wasnt that bothered but enjoyed it.

Always liked their music, but really got the 'bug' when seeing a tribute act at Butlins Skeg 80's weekend last year.

Depeche Mode and Erasure are still on the bucket list, though!

Got dragged to an Erasure gig at Sherwood Pines back in 2011....not really a fan but got dragged along and ended up driving the rest of them so couldnt even drink my way through it!!

Like his music, would loved to have seen him at somewhere like the leadmill or rock city but not fussed about seeing him in a big arena.

I think he’s suited to Festivals, doing Reading/Leeds

Saw him last year at Leeds and was amazing, no chance he’s doing small venues anymore

Yep dont expect him to do anything small again so probably missed the boat on him. I just dont like big arena gigs\concerts full stop to be honest. Will have to hope he does Scarborough Open Air Theatre instead....saw Biffy Clyro there last year and it was brilliant.

It’s not for me, no.

It’s a general point I was making. Bands/artists seem to leap quickly from normal sized venues to arenas (usually after one hit album & becoming flavour of the month). The vast majority can’t maintain this level & return to normal sized venues.

Remember jake bugg? The uks Bob Dylan apparently.

I don't blame them at all. they all want fame & £££.
my point was just bide your time & chances are they'll be in smaller venues again (mind you the hype will have died by then).

onto arenas: leeds arena is fantastic. due to its design even if youre sat at back youre 'close' to stage. it looks good to.

Love Leeds Arena.

Designed correctly so you can actually see the stage and not four miles away like Sheffield or Newcastle.

sheff is so outdated by comparison.
been to leeds arena 3 times, once stood up & twice sat right at the back. even sat at the back the view is great without having to look at big screens.
parked in multi storey across the way, £5 & got home probably quicker than just getting out of sheff arena car park.
