It’ll definitely be the North. There are half a dozen teams that I’d describe as Southern in it already.

I wouldn’t worry too much, there is only one truly Northern league feeding the NLN. The other one seems to have the odd midland club but mainly clubs from further south. It will only become more Southern based if we languish in there too long

We should have started putting failure clauses into managers contracts after the Saunders debacle to ensure against huge losses of compo everytime we sack someone but like everything else the club just doesn't learn and keeps on giving out long and lucrative deals to managers and then has to suffer the consequences when the payouts come.

I don’t wear “the football’s not like that” argument either. The man, like his predecessor, has been an abject failure. I don’t care where you work. Been to Gainsborough v Matlock today, we came away with sore necks with all the high ball. Tell you what though we saw 2 teams going at it hammer and tongs. If we saw half the effort from our boys it would at least offer a glimmer of hope.
