After that, todays performance relegation is nailed on.
No pride in the shirt.
JS is only here for a pay off (to a local ******** establishment?)
Fingers crossed that Alfreton stay up for a local derby next season on Boxing Day & New Years Day cos that's what we've got to look forward to.
Resign Sheridan cos you ain't gonna turn this around this season.

Also back from the game, first time since Ebbsfleet. My god, that was dire. But I am not sure I expected much different when I saw the team... Mandeville and Weston as the midfield powerhouse, Buchanan and McKay providing width and a threat down the flanks. Nope, didn’t expect it and they didn’t....
I said to my daughter before I left home that it was a new year but same old blind faith. I think the team were blind drunk or just blind based on today’s showing. And whilst I don’t expect the greatest footballing skill these days, I do expect some professional pride and commitment and sadly most don’t look that bothered...
Anybody know if we will be in the north or south region of the next tier - as an exile, regional football in the north will impact my attendance at away games!

It’ll definitely be the North. There are half a dozen teams that I’d describe as Southern in it already.
I wouldn’t worry too much, there is only one truly Northern league feeding the NLN. The other one seems to have the odd midland club but mainly clubs from further south. It will only become more Southern based if we languish in there too long

Unless there are clauses written into his contract then unfortunately football doesn't work like that, you can't just say cause we are low in the league they can be fired with no compo, otherwise our entire playing team would be in danger.
We should have started putting failure clauses into managers contracts after the Saunders debacle to ensure against huge losses of compo everytime we sack someone but like everything else the club just doesn't learn and keeps on giving out long and lucrative deals to managers and then has to suffer the consequences when the payouts come.

I don’t wear “the football’s not like that” argument either. The man, like his predecessor, has been an abject failure. I don’t care where you work. If you don’t do your job, having been given the investment, out you go. It’s got to stop but many posters on here would sooner worry about Sheridan’s right to compensation than press for his immediate dismissal. It makes my blood boil. Sixty eight years a Spireite, I’m fed up with excuse makers. Get real.

Been to Gainsborough v Matlock today, we came away with sore necks with all the high ball. Tell you what though we saw 2 teams going at it hammer and tongs. If we saw half the effort from our boys it would at least offer a glimmer of hope.
God I hate this league.

They are for pulling your strings and getting a bite after your 60 mile round trip of misery.
