If someone came in with a proper plan for the future, training facilities, a scouting network, recruitment process and getting a grip of the finances then that would be a start.
Getting in touch for advice from the board rooms of accy, Burton ect... Wouldn't be a bad thing either

I would love if a bunch of local businessmen took over if only to bring some much needed optimism to the club.
If they could then run a progressive, self sustaining club with supporter input, a long term plan for the playing side of things (with a youth centered and more modern approach than a scout who attends home games for recruitment), that would be great but lets not get ahead or ourselves

With any business, when things start to go wrong on the coal face it’s all about the management at the highest level & it filters down.
No one can deny we probably enjoyed the most exciting times over a 6 year period when DA first took charge...championships, Wembley, FA Cup etc etc. But he made one huge stubborn mistake with PC..from that point this club began to implode & we have never recovered. Sometimes people need to hold their hand up & admit it flipped up, I’m out’...a new vision is required with new enthusiasm & bring back the feeling of encouraging & exciting fans to come back.
I also genuinely feel Sheridan is still the man for the job and with a new higher management system in place (getting rid of DA, AC, GB etc) this club would start to see its 6,000 fans return.
The beating heart of this (& any football club) are its fans...show the right encouragement for them to want to come back & they will return.
Season ticket pricing needs to be right
PR & marketing needs to right

The other 2000 are new, attracted by the ground and the product
The first job is getting the 4000 hardcore back

If you're going to quote 4000 being a base figure you should omit the word historically
Yorkshire is Yorkshire
Never the twain shall meet.

It's highly unlikely that Sheridan's salary will be doable should common sense return and things be run sustainably. And, of course, that's just the tip of an enormous iceberg. Make no mistake, pulling us back from the brink is a massive task and it will take time. Phil's post rightly alludes to the fact that progress may mean some backward steps are inevitable in order to inch forward. Bring it on.

I’d also accept a couple of years at the level while things are stabilised, and slowly built back up

Agreed 100%. The harsh reality is it may well be inevitable.
