Big Yes from me Phil. As a fan I missed about 12 home games in 22 odd years up until the relegation season to the National League, not been since the Maidenhead debacle last year.

I’m itching to take the young lad matches, but would not be want him to see mine and his club when it’s on it’s bottom and not far from life support.

I’f someone offered me the removal of this terrible board and owners and demotion to say the Northern Premier League Id snap both the hands off in an instance.

Another aspect here, when DA was having his spat with the council over repayments he cited that CFCs move to Whit Moor benifited the local economy. Quiet rightly. IT DON'T NOW.
A new regime would naturally help re-establish the good days of 5 years ago.

In answer to your question Phil, I still go but know plenty who don't but would.

I welcome any new owners especially if they are fans of the club and understand the local fans passion as shown by the comments on this thread.
I get a feeling something is about to happen especially given Phil’s post.
I only hope fans can see the magnitude of what any new owners will have to address with probably limited funds and clearing out contracted dross will take time and god knows what other “contracts” they may come across that need sorting. I would hope that any new owners provide fans with clear, short , medium and long term plans that fans can buy into and see any potential timescales for movement in the right direction. Exeter and Lincoln are two examples that spring to mind.
Like others have said on here, I still attend home games more out of keeping my collection of programmes, team sheets and ticket stubs up to date but it’s getting harder each game to justify given the poor quality and lack of effort on show.
Fans who have stayed away are no better or worse than those who have kept going. The one common denominator is a shared love and passion for a successful CFC and people have decided to show that differently.
I really hope all fans can come together under new owners to help get the club back where it belongs and to help me achieve a lifetime ambition before I die of seeing CFC in the second tier for at least one season.

Same here,4 st holders,3 of who'm show any interest to go.but its hard work.
I will always follow cfc but can't deny it is a real bind going to watch town,i know a few who think the same.i would gladly take relegation now only if it meant new, enthusiastic ownership.

I miss my friends and the day out side of things. If it was 50/50 good/bad or even 30/70, you can at least have a laugh with your mates, but no. It’s been TERRIBLE, and off the field they really don’t give two hoots. I’ve been to just the one this season. Just to see. Nope, same if not worse than last season. I was gonna post on here Saturday to say I probably won’t listen any more ((albeit to other team’s commentaries!). The one below that is that I won’t look for the scores any more - ie.not caring. That sums it up for me

I’d be back with about 20 others if we had new owners. Every game

One thing is clear from this thread. The ownership and conduct of said owners has had a huge impact on the fans and their desire to attend. Anyone who still thinks otherwise only needs to read this to remove that delusion. If there is to be a takeover, they need to release a statement that any recovery has to be sustainable financially and will need patience and time while the club’s finances are stabilised. The fans would be understanding enough.
A new hope.

Phil. JFDI. We'll suffer a couple more seasons if there is light at the end of this tunnel.

I've not been to the Proact in 3 seasons simply because I refuse to fund Dave Allen's destruction of our club.If like you suggest Phil,a consortium of Chesterfield businessmen/fans were to buy the club i would return immediately.

Only been twice this season, love my club, but hate what Allen and co have done, picking and choosing my games now,but if it did happen,i would even stretch to getting a season ticket again.
No good in my opinion keeping the present so called board either, they only come out of the woodwork when they or the club win anything, yes men the lot of em!

Missed about 30 games over the last 37 years. Would get a season ticket again if things were 'freshened up'. Me, as the endless optimist, feels we have to change now. Sad, unsettling times.

My wife and I still attend but don't spend anything else at the club, that would change , I'd also be tempted to buy the seat at the side of us that I used to buy for my son even though he didn't attend often due to a weekend job.
I actually see this thread as a positive because I think implies something is afoot regarding new owners who are genuine and want the best for the club.
Thanks for posting Phil.

It probably is now or never for us if this club in it's current form is to survive. This lot have to go, end of.

I'm part of a group of a good 20 or so town fans who no longer attend, having all previously held a season ticket. I'm confident some would return full time, for others it is probably too late to get them to commit to becoming ST holders but I bet most would turn up when they could. Some haven't been to a home game in 3/4 years.

Would the board members who were forced out by Allen be interested in doing a deal that meant they come back on board, and they forgo payments on loans or an equity exchange?
A new hope.

If a local consortium were to buy the club then finances are extremely important. Unless a great investment is made we'd have a club that runs week to week, yes a club but we'd struggle to get back to where we were. What we really need are investors who have the capital and business plan to take the club back and beyond. Take a look at the RB Leipzig business model, maybe their owners would be interested in a UK team? https://thesefootbal...lieve-it-to-be/

I'm still attending and a ST holder.

I've no interest in the corporate simply because of the product on the field.

Should a consortium take over I would volunteer in any way that would be acceptable.

I have ideas to generate funds but realise that the current clowns couldn't run a raffle. Ahem...

I hope someone is testing the waters here but what fans have got to commit to is regular attendance should the early years be hard going. Any new consortium has to spell this out to the fans and be very open as to what lies ahead. No daft aspirations just keep it sensible and regular communications.
God I hate this league.

I’d also suggest that they might want to have,as a gesture of goodwill from the current owner, that Ashley gifts his shares to CFSS.

I am a season ticket holder (duped again this season unfortunately) but honestly my passion for our club is quickly dying its getting a chore just to turn up on a match day to watch the dross being played. The sooner the better we have someone who cares for our club in control. BIG YES from me.
