I'm sorry...I forgot to cancel my direct debit this season for Spireites Digital and so have unwittingly added to the regime's coffers.

That aside, the video highlights from the Eastleigh match have 2 minutes and 23 seconds of footage of the teams coming out, shaking hands and all that malarkey, and the last minute and a half is after the final whistle. The total length of the video is 11 minutes.

That's over a quarter of the video without match action. This 4 minutes is, however, the most enjoyable bit of the video.

This is how far we've sunk.

When I signed up for Spireites Digital, because of working nationwide most weekends and I used to like to listen to Mr. Tooley's dulcet tones, I never thought that I'd be paying for content like this!!

Well, just found this on Youtube and it's the first I've seen of Saturday:

Is it Hollis who lets his man wander free for the first? No idea why Weston would let the ball run across him- Hollis again who lets his man score after that? Nepomuceno who passes it into his own box?

Wow.
These go to eleven.

and that miss from Fondop from the pass from the free kick! Clever move but poorly executed by passer and shooter

Yes awful defending . Hollis didn't even bother to run with his man never mind challenge for the ball for the first. Sunday league at best.

That second goal is absolutely hilariously bad. Terrible players.

That's been an annoying feature of the highlights for most of the season, and why I've also jacked it in,

I'm assuming they know they have 11 minutes to fill and when they inevitably struggle to find enough when watching the game back, add both ends in for the easiest

yep.
I don't think they even make the effort to sift material. There have been numerous interesting incidents, offsides, penalty shouts, near misses, disallowed goals; not even shown. The other week they showed about 3 minutes of our player out cold and then receiving treatment.

Having said that, the service is recovering from the dire mess of the recent past.
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

Hi Boggy, Moondog and Dim View.
In reply to your interesting comments on here i thought i would let you know that since we have come out of the football league into this mire of a league can i just say that we have had no full time media, and that the clips you see are provided by unpaid volunteers mate that do there best for you and at least bring you something.... uploading and editing takes time on what i have ie re coding the stuff takes my machine 3 hrs and the editing the highlights 1 hr to bring watchable hd quality but if there is anyone out there willing to give me a up to date laptop or apple notebook im all but willing to take it and bring you more.

So a CFC with a paid media man and IT bloke on the Board make money from unpaid volunteers?
Never underestimate the stupidity of people

Got to admit to grumbling about the non-playing content of the video, but I hadn't realised it was being done by voluntary effort.
Keep up the good work, and ignore the people who always have a go at volunteers. If it wasn't for volunteers there'd hardly be a team in this league, and you could probably write off L2 as well.

Looking at the video in the light of last nights result, it demonstrates perfectly how 3-5-2 makes our central defenders uncomfortable and unsure who to mark. The Eastleigh forwards had a field day, with the space they were given. One particular move where their striker got yards of space in the box was horrific - - - and that's before their first goal.

If you want to focus your time to get some stable and semi-professional footage of the games, I'll happily edit and manage the uploads.

Take a look at nearly every other team in this division with a fraction of the resources we have and still pump out decent content of the matches with some adding timers/scoreboards as an overlay.

While we're on the subject; the official YouTube page is in a poor shape for a club of our size. It takes 2 seconds to title the highlights properly (i.e Chesterfield vs X).

I understand the paid subscription get highlights first but it's been 2 weeks since any have been uploaded to the social channels and we've played 4 times since then.

If you genuinely need volunteers for this, reach out.

I'd no idea that this footage was provided by volunteers, in which case I doff my cap to you sirs.

This information however, demonstrates with even more emphasis, that CFC is an amateur organisation which treats its fans with disdain.

I wonder how many people who pay for Spireites Digital know that their often hard-earned money does not contribute to the people who provide the material.

Most of the spireites digital goes to the efl as they host it. Unfortunately we're no longer in the efl, so teams aren't require to provide isdn ports for away teams and since we're not efl they're not that bothered when there are problems either, we go to the bottom of the pile.
I assume that we have a contract with them, which is why we still use them.

BTW BT sport only provide the equipment, the club has to provide the people to operate the equipment to film the match. My 19 year old son does it when needed, along with other uni students. They had one days training with the equipment in July at Notts County.
