Actually when you mention all those names his attempts at getting width into the team wasn’t that successful.
Perhaps he thinks width is overrated

Who is to say that Shezza hasn’t been looking for wingers? I’m sure he wouldn’t want to bring just anybody in to be a winger & has his specific targets! Maybe, who knows, that he has had to play a waiting game to get them?
If the targets he has are from the FL, then he has to wait to see how the FL transfer window pans out?
Yes ideally, every manager would love all their players in before the season starts, but if that’s not possible & you want a specific player, then he has to wait!
Didn’t we sign Morgan, 3-4 games into the season? Look how that turned out.
We need to relax a bit, because this board goes into meltdown & a witch-hunt ensues if something isn’t what they want. With EVERY manager...even Cook was getting abuse on here when we weren’t winning every games, with some wanting him to go because we kept conceding late goals!!
I like most, are prepared to judge the team after 10 games, which as we know provides the perfect indication as to how your season generally pans out.

This board goes into meltdown quite simply because the club has been in meltdown for about four years, or has this passed you by.
It goes into meltdown because even at this very very early stage the squad looks a distance off of a realistic promotion push.
It goes into meltdown because the club keeps making ridiculous errors and mistakes that anger the supporters, the new dug outs for example.
Well, there's plenty of other threads which explain the meltdown reasons, you don't have to look to hard to find them.

Dave Allen was interested back then, he wanted a club that would play good football, be in the championship and playing Wednesday.
So he could say to wednesdayite “ hers what you could have had, you were wrong” and he was more than happy to fund it. “Let me worry about the debt” he said back then.
That is no longer the case.
That said, Sheridan has an unfinished squad lacking balance. I can only assume he has been promised funds/loan players that for whatever reason, have not been seen at the proact.

To be fair, Shezza's pre-season recruitment is on a par with , if not worse than 2011. That side on Saturday was lower National League standard. He deserves a bit of stick , and indeed those above him for what appears to be another budget cut. If the likes of Dover can be dark horses, it says a lot for our recruitment. I'll judge him by September. There's a long way to go. Apparently, we are on the verge of signing two players on loan from a league club. Just hope it's Accy or Burton or Morecombe - clubs we can look up to for inspiration on how to do the job.

So you are saying i am making this up?? Because it did happen! There were many having a go at Cook because things weren't going right at the time.
And there is no smug arrogance to my posts - everyone on here claims to be an expert that knows everything. If you read my post, it is a presumption of what maybe happening & what is the relevance of my age?? Aren't i entitled to an opinion?

That study didn’t have a 6’6 cricketing plasterer on the end of the crosses though.

No sorry, I’m not having it.
There may have been one or two, that initially questioned his appointment in the first couple of months, but after that, no way Jose- I stand by my assertion that you made it up.
If your sure, provide the posts/quotes in which this “having a go at cook because things weren’t going right at the time”

There was a spell around about the time we drew 1-1 away at Stockport i think it was that a few got a little bit restless as the goals had dried up a little and were bemoaning a lack of Plan B etc. I'm not sure we ever got to a stage of Cook out etc but there were some grumblings.
