Agree on this! Wedgbury must have had a knock...him over Weston any day!

I only saw Westbury come on as a sub against Sheff Utd but he didn't impress me.
That said, neither did Weir nor Weston today, thought Weir was slightly better than Weston but that's as far as it goes.

There's no way on earth one player, i.e. Gerrard, makes a difference to the absolute garbage we saw today.

Sheridan talks all the time about players giving a 7/10 performance, I am struggling to remember too many games where I've felt either Weston or weir have hit that mark, general 5/10 (Weston) and 6/10 (weir) and both were below even that today, could a wedgbury/smith cm partnership be any worse? sad that i'm throwing this kind of discussion up about cm on day one, usually a mid season talking point.

Not true. There were some matches last season when a Dyche or a Law at their current ages could have got us some points. You tell players what their job is and that it’s their fault if they don’t do it. Sadly lacking today if the vibes I’m getting are correct.

Unless Spyrou is special then it's not a bunch that will improve us much anyway.

not seen Spyrou but he had been scoring. Must have been an improvement on McKay who was useless

From what I have seen of Spyrou he would have certainly given us more options up front than Mckay

Denton and Hollis would certainly have improved the team

Spyrou is light years better than McKay, don't know why he didn't give Amantchi a go at half time. Poor decision making by Shez. He is paying the price for a threadbare squad.
All any opposition has to do is play down the channels because no-one is there to stop them, just unbelievable.

yeah. anyone scouting us would notice this and just attack us down the flanks all game (which is what we should be doing to other teams but we don't have the personnel). we're so narrow that when the opposition get the ball out wide they have so much time to cross the ball because it takes out centre mids/full backs so long to get over to them. really poor tactics by Sheridan. Worrying.

Pre season Spyrou, McKay and Manderville played very well together - Amanchi doesn't warrant a place atm The lad from Penistone looked better.
