If we are going to operate with a small squad Shez pretty much has to get every signing spot on. This could be a good one even though the scoring record is very modest. Well have to see. It won't sell STs though, which striker signings can.

Can't see a future for Shaw as a striker here now. Could there be a job for him as a right winger ?

At the level we're at I think this is about right to sign him. Welcome Liam I hope you do well.

Hopefully a decent player, time will tell, however coming from elf will he have the mentality to play in this league. Seems to be the problem with all the elf teams that go into this league, same as some fans really ‘we’re to good etc’ I think we need at least 8 players that are used to the league and have operated successfully in it.

I agree that we should be sign ing the best this level has to offer and was disappointed that McCallum went to Solihull.

Dozens and dozens of NL players have adapted to non league without a problem. It would be interesting to see exactly how many have played in league football

Didn't Lincoln go up with loads of EFL recruits and including a few Mansfield rejects.

McCallum was a league player until he played for Eastleigh

I don’t get this McCallum thing!!! What makes you think we should have gone for him?
Why would Sheridan think he would fit into his style of play?

Let’s be fair (not playing the big club card), but IF we were interested in signing him...do you think bigger wages, bigger club, bigger fan base, better facilities...he’d choose Solihull???

On a slightly different note what do people think Shez's preferred system will be next system?

Will he stick with 3-5-2, change to a 4-4-2, or maybe a 4-3-3 with Mandeville up front with Denton and Boden, as I doubt he would opt for 4-2-3-1?

At this stage, with more signings to come, we seem to be short of players for any line-up particularly on the left hand side unless the likes of Wakefield are included.

Morecambe are a nasty bunch of no fan rabble rousers. There natural league is the Northern Premier, and that’s where they will be in years to come.

And our natural league currently is the one we are in for a second season, the national league. Below them. Don’t start being a deedah and being the big I am, we are currently non league....

I imagine being close to home, being able to have Sheridan talking to him about how he likes to play, having a fab ground and facilities helped - I imagine we are going for a small squad this season so perhaps offered a better package.

I don’t imagine we will have too many coming in who turn down league clubs to join, he may be our big summer signing. Watch those season tickets fly....

Interesting comments on attitude. Sure Shez said he wanted regular 7/10 players and not those that could be great or uninterested....

Why are we biting people, treat them with the contempt they deserve. Pure envy their biggest problem is the club's location.
God I hate this league.

You seem very down and negative on everything the club seems to be trying to do at the minute. Why don’t you offer your services as an associate director to ensure positive things happen

No thanks - live too far away, and an associate director is still a director and has the legal responsibilities (and potential liabilities like imprisonment for serious offences) and that requires a bit more reward than the warmth of being helpful...

I am not down on what they are trying to do now, I am still down from what they have done in the past, and I haven’t forgotten, and won’t whilst the same people are making the big decisions....and I am still in the not a penny more brigade as a result (but away games are ok)

Well, whatever happens, at least he'll still have his elf.
These go to eleven.

Shouldn't we be interested in an available striker who has top scored at this level? Maybe Shez has another striker in the pipeline one who provokes ST sales perhaps

We need to strengthen elsewhere than striker now, surely?

We've got 13 players on the books still. All of them played in this league last season or before. I think we've got enough of NL experience already.
