There's no wonder some of these shows have offers on given the prices.

Think we’ve finally got to the point where there’s too much on & they’re charging too much. The market is saturated.
Perhaps ticket prices will come down (slightly) in future.

Their new album/film soundtrack is very good.

Not listened to it yet so need to give it a go at some point.

Caved in and bought a Sunday day ticket for download, would kick myself if I didn't get to see the smashing pumpkins on this reunion tour.

I've never seen them, but Siamese Dream and Mellon Collie are two fine fine albums.

Would recommend seeing Dinosaur Pile-Up on the second stage if you're there early enough.

went up to Glasgow a week ago and my mate had got me a ticket for Alice In Chains supported by Black Rebel Motorcycle Club

Awesome gig! Shame I never saw AIC with Layne Staley mind

Bought tickets for Gomez in Sheffield and Focus at Real Time

Gomez doing a 20th anniversary tour for their 3rd Album makes me feel old!

And a bit of weird Dutch prog rock in Town should be fun!

"Gomez doing a 20th anniversary tour for their 3rd Album makes me feel old!"

On the theme of third albums, went to Leeds to see Chameleons Vox perform the ‘Strange Times’ album, although only the lead singer, Mark Burgess, remains from the original Chameleons line-up.
After support band, The Any Numbers, bounced off stage he appeared at the mixing desk to set-up a livestream.
Playing the songs in tracklist order meant, for me, a cracking first half that tailed-off until the set concluded with a faithful rendition of the Buzzcocks ‘Ever Fallen in Love’.

Much the same problem when I went to see glasvegas doing their first album in its entirety. All the biggies were on side 1 so back end of gig didn’t fare so well.
Went to see peter hook do joy div & new order substance albums & he got round it by doing new order first & then joy div. so gig finished with love will tear us apart. You can’t top that song so you may as well make it the last one.

Let's hope so. Some of these acts doing stadiums and arenas particularly older acts are charging a fortune. Nowt to do with inflation either. Just greed.

Was told Friday night sevens had shut down. No shock there. The drink was rank for starters and the county seems to be catering for the late night crowd into the rock music with much better drinks be surroundings.

Noticed Sevens was shut on Thursday night

Shame, used to be great then lost a lot of custom due to only playing really heavy rock music (DJ catering for his 5 or so mates) so those who wanted a mix of 'alternative' music stopped going

I noticed too that the same bands were been played every time I went in. Not just the same bands but the same tunes. A tune called crazy bitch by buckcherry always seemed to be on when I walked in and sum 41 and slipknot followed soon after. Was the DJ just pressing play on the same old playlist? The owner had another pub so was not always there. No wonder if shut

Where can you go as an alternative (not that I'm in town after dark more than 2/3 times a year these days)?

Based on my limited knowledge of pubs in town these days i doubt there is anywhere that doesnt play the same dance\pop sort of stuff and offers a decent alternative.

Not me. Unless I'm too drunk to care in which case I'll be in Mojos no doubt as per the last couple of times.

ended up in there at the weekend, the new dancefloor is truly unbelieavble!

rasied about 6" from the floor and a random block edging pattern, people were stumbling on and off (and not due to the watered-down ale!)
