Thanks. Good read, seems a bit like the non league version of the mk Dons saga. I was fully aware of Emory's rich history. Uncles a bishop Auckland fan who played them for many years and also shared with a cricket club. Never realised they had shared various ground during there later years, often the beginning of the end. Also notice from article they never got on with the rugby club, how's this going to change with this new lot of wonder?

Wakefield Trinity have just bought the freehold for their current ground, I won't hold my breath but there won't be a new stadium for 3 yrs. I'd bet AFC Wakefield will be long gone by then.

A photo from the press conference, courtesy of the local Wakefield paper. CT and the guy on the left can barely contain their enthusiasm. Is the chap on the right Russ Green, the former Hartlepool and Rochdale CEO who is currently banned from football, for making undocumented payments to agents?

Johnston Press went into administration a year ago and their assets were acquired by JP Media.

Wakefield is not Graham's patch but a fruity piece on Chris Turner and his bid for big time again could be worth a read.

But at least we're now watching from a distance.

Infact it's like that bit on 'Jeux Sans Frontiers' when the Brits were knocked out and the presenter said 'Okay, we can just sit back and enjoy the fun, now'.

I'm sure someone, somewhere, will be making a few bob from this whilst others will definitely lose a few bob. Or maybe a helluvva lot more than a few bob.

Thanks to the efforts of many 'Bob's Board' members it won't be coming out of our pockets, though...

Leyton Orient had notice their Academy will sadly fold if they don't get promotion back to the league this season as it's 2 years now.

2 years in Conference and no more Academy....

I remember Stockton on tees in my native north east not having a senior football team in the north east for many years with neighbouring thornaby FC Been the nearest football team. Stockton is a large town with a population of 80,000+ so big enough for a pro team but football fans tended to support Middlesbrough and to a lesser extent Darlington and Hartlepool. However when a senior side was finally formed about 10 year ago they were based in the town so got the local community onboard and built a stadium next to there original pitch and are doing well in the northern league and nearly won the fact vase last season. Never was there some big launch with big business men and ex footballers involved. Wakefield United should take note

Dennis Bingham yet again has his suspension from acting as an agent from the FA extended by another 6 months, for acting as an agent whilst suspended.

Seems the bans aren't really worth the paper ther're written on.

May bad, I'm reliably informed this was his previous suspension extension rather than another one.

I have been sent details from the liquidator's latest report into the CFC FDS debacle. It appears the claim against Chesterfield FC is now in the order of £138,982. That sum is made up as follows:

Player wages: £14,704.
Other wages: £74,998
Training pitch use: £14,000
First-team player accomodation: £35,280.

I almost feel the urge to write the "other wages" one out in longhand, in the style of the football teleprinter. Who the chuff did they pay that to, if not players?

The liquidator has entered into an agreement with a business support company to recover the debt. For a payment of £2000 towards the liquidator's expenses, they get 50% of whatever they recover from the club. That company have engaged solicitors to pursue the claim, and they have been in contact with the club.

The club appears to be ignoring it, perhaps, in the hope that it'll go away: the liquidator observes that "No substantive or satisfactory response to the claim has been received to date and the matter is ongoing."
It's nice to be able to Trust again.

Nice one.
Almost 3 years to the day since Turner issued an official statement confirming that the FDS was independent.

Well as Town's current Company Secretary claimed to have access to CFCFDS accounts, and felt so confident in the business to allegedly loan it tens of thousands of pounds, I'm sure this can be easily cleared up.

On a similar theme, is there any word on the CFC monies he pledged to recoup from that enterprise at a public meeting two years ago?

Send a photo copy to DA, and ask for his views.

Surely all this information is easy to track on the development school laptops where they must have kept clear auditable income and expenditure details.

Oh silly me, didn’t i read that these had disappeared.

Would love to see a detailed breakdown of whose wages were paid by the development school and which first team players lodged there and given the amount claimed would it have been cheaper to stay at the Casa?

Graham Bean, SIO, should identify the UCO, send in the CSE's to infiltrate the OCG, and apprehend H (again).

You know how it is, coaching the youth side in all weathers, electronic equipment doesn’t fare well outside in the rain. It’s perfectly understandable, given the coaching positions of both the user and supplier, that such equipment gets damaged and thrown away. I’m sure it happens at all professional football clubs.

Who saves knackered old laptops these days?

I don’t see any reason why anyone would be suspicious in these perfectly explainable circumstances. There’s too much paranoia around the development school. The supplier, a self respecting businessman and academy director also deserves some slack and a little respect.
A new hope.

Another contentious subject which requires comment from the company secretary. That individual has such a varied role!

Only at Chesterfield FC would the company secretary be dealing with a subject which he has previously claimed to have had no involvement with when the club employs a CEO who has earned a living in recent years from arbitration and dispute resolution.
