Precisely. It's impossible to believe but the situation we are in right now is a dreamland compared to what it could have been. And it's all down to the fans who went above and beyond (or did a quick google search such was the blatant nature of some of them) that we still have a fighting chance. I mean if the club couldn't even be bothered to some of the basic checks that fans did to rout out the pretenders it's going to shake the faith that they know what they are doing at all. These people could already have ruined us by now.

And that's why certain people who defend this hierarchy going 'oh well people are blinded and just see the worst all the time' are actually telling a truth and not as intended trying to be sarcastic. Blue's charge sheet shows the worst of this club again, and again, and again, and again. When they'd have quite happily let a theoretical situation like the one you stated happen then one cannot help but be extremely sceptical when it comes to all future encounters.

He comes across as a very troubled individual who seems to be doing everything he can to ingratiate himself with the current regime when many lifelong supporters and genuine through and through decent people with real attachment and dealings with the club are keeping them at arms length.
