Exactly.
If DA wants to sit quietly in the background, and use his cash to get us in apposition to sell. I could live with it.
But it won't work if he doesn't get people running the club who know how to run a football club. Not sure how Bean fits into this puzzle at all tbh. Don't think he has any experience of running a club.
Sadly, looks like an exercise in fan appeasement to me (it won't work anyway).
The tale of how Bean was appointed seems to typify everything that’s wrong under the current regime. Meets Ashley under his guise as representative for clubs defending FA charges, hey presto appointed as CEO a few months later.
Had we identified we needed a CEO? (Perhaps we had, but there seemed no hurry to replace the part time Dunford). If so, had we prepared a Job Specification identifying duties and targets? Plus a People Specification, what type of qualities, qualifications, experience and skills were needed by the successful applicant?
And then where were the adverts to be placed and the opportunity to publicised?
It seems every opprtuunity for transparency, and hence a little trust, is spurned and kicked into the long grass.
