Why did Jack resign rather than wait to be pushed, if he was being paid that much? Or didn't he resign?

Jack was relieved of his duties and is very bitter towards the club he loves.
He won’t take calls from anyone connected at the club, to an extent that Tommy Lee had to act as a go between to get Jack to send his training gear signed for the sponsor of his kit last season.

Wish he’d speak out and tell us what things were really like behind the scenes.

That is sad to hear but hardly surprising. I am a big fan of Jack Lester not only for what he did on the pitch but also how he conducts himself off it, however he only has himself to blame. He was perfectly placed to have known not to have got involved with Chesterfield FC, Dave Allen and Ashley Carson but he ignored all the warning signs.
In my opinion Jack has a lot to offer football providing it is in a healthy environment.

I don't think that. I think Jack was the first manager to question Carson, beginning with outing Branston. Allegations about Carson's dislike of Jack were soon circulating after that and the outcome was inevitable. The 'snow on the pitch' episode on Easter Monday must have been the final kick in the knackers for Jack. Nobody above him gave a monkeys. Jack should have taken clearing the pitch into his own hands using first team players as a last resort.

I think the current regime burnt their bridges with how they treat him in the summer
Can't see him returning in any capacity, with DA/AC still being here.
The commute to Rochdale most days is hardly ideal for him, but hes doing ok for his first full managerial role, and no need for him to drop back down to our level.
