That's the problem though mate, if we recruit now then we have to get non league players who by and large are going to be much of a muchness to what we've got now, or loan league players, and league clubs are going to be wary of letting decent players come this low. Also if we try to buy from other non league clubs then they are going to force our hand by demanding top dollar for average players. We are in a massive rut and at the moment I can't see a way out, only more struggle.
It's like being in the football equivalent of the prison pit in the last Batman film that Christian Bale finds himself him..it's torture, not of your body, but of your footballing soul!

He’s a poor manager who can only operate one way. Whatever that way is, and whatever alignment of the stars have been required for the occasional success he’s had, he’s not even close to finding it here.

In Cook we had a quality manager who signed quality players. And often for far less than they were sold for.
But they were sold. Infact a genuine fire sale of anyone and everyone deemed expendable to cater for the utter bankruptcy of quality running the Club.
Then quality was equally absent in the appointment of Saunders and Caldwell. Or those they subsequently signed.
And now Martin Allen has delivered a quality free squad playing quality free football. Whilst cronies and volunteers replace anything approaching quality behind the scenes.
After the decrepit amateurism of Saltergate quality oozed out of the new stadium. However whether it be our league position, crowds, or customer experience it seems we've gone backwards from even those depressing days.

If he was sacked this morning I don't think anyone could complain, including the man himself, but I'm still in the camp that the things killing our club goes way way higher and runs far deeper than MA. Who I still think never realised the depth of this when he took the job. Likewise Jack, he took the job on wanting to save a club he had a massive affection for, but sadly realised the issues soon after he was appointed.

I agree with you. I thought you were suggesting the other day he had just been unlucky. Sorry If it was someone else.

But is it his PLAN to let the club fold so he can implement another enterprise ?
