On Monday he showed the players a video of the fa cup semi final build up in town. The shops with all the Bunting, we can build our dreams, interviews with fans, queuing up for tickets etc.

To get them - (semi)-professional footballers motivated for a 2nd round tie versus Grimsby...?!
What a time to be alive

He is about as good at writing column's as he is at managing football clubs. He also works for a complete set of k#obs, DA and Daily Fascists

He's getting us publicity that we'd pay thousands for if we had a PR firm to do it, but the best you can do is abuse the owner and the paper he writes for.
And it might be badly written by your own high standards, but for a newspaper it's standard fare. He doesn't use a comma for plural words for instance.

Will you be attending tomorrow, or just criticising those that choose to post their views on the game, cos they differ to how it might sound on the radio??
all we are saying, is give us ...a goal, or 2+

That'll be nice. A few happy ones would be a change, instead of the constant stream of misery that drags the Board down.
A lot of people seem to think we'll be out of business in a year or two; I'm looking forward to L2 play-offs in much the same time. 'Nowt to do with reality, just down to personalities.

It's good to see that we are still providing some novelty interest for his real job aint it.

Great that the awful current run allows him to make a big deal of the fact (longest run of draws). Adds nicely to the bacon butty nonsense and the tallest centre forward, longest throw...

Maybe he'd get some more Daily Mail cash out of a Festive Daily Mail CFC Guiness-style book of records?

It's sad that under the Daily Martin Allen we are rapidly becoming a dinner party conversation piece rather than a credible football team.

Given the way the club has been run down and allowed to be completely rudderless these last few seasons I sadly think the out of business choice is a lot more possible than the L2 play off choice in your given time frame.
East stand second class citizen.

That's pretty obvious tbh, as the reality is we as a club are on the brink of oblivion, and yet you still try to defend the owner,.. Try reality.. Take a look at the league table from this time 4 yrs ago, and then look where we are now... With your eyes open this time!

No, deadly serious. And in case you're thinking that it's bad publicity - in the first place there's no such thing, and in the second the Mail wouldn't print it or employ MA if it wasn't what the public like to read.
The whole reaction to it is just another example of how low this board has sunk. Nobody out there's interested in CFC's troubles, but there'll be plenty who'll take an interest in that article because he's ticked a lot of boxes - underdogs getting ready for a cup shock, ex cup-finalist talking about the Wembley experience, bacon butties, bizarre hair cut, he's even name-checked ManU and some legendary players for heaven's sake.
So yes, I'm serious. It's got the club in the public eye for a lot of good reasons. What's not to like?

With my eyes wide open I'll take my optimism over your desperate misery every day of the week.
You do realise there's a world outside the league tables, do you? For heaven's sake, lighten up.

There’s a world outside football, but when folk are talking football, which is the whole purpose of this Board, I think we can take it as a given, League Tables are important. Very.
