CFC unrelated - remember, this is the Gary Caldwell, whilst at Wigan, that fell out with a certain Sam Morsy.

That's the same Sam Morsy that captained Gary Caldwell's former side, under a different manager, to promotion and is still captaining them in the Championship whilst becoming an international player.

Such are Gary Caldwell's man management skills.

But, then again, as he often repeated, his way was the way to play winning football - remind me, did his win rate ratio get as high as 10%?

Graham Smyth writes that Partick were also threatened with "further action" if the offending paragraphs were not removed. How very Chesterfield FC of us.

Did we threaten to send Guy Branston to join him?
These go to eleven.

The same Sam Morsy who wasn't consulted whilst Caldwell was being considered.

Just think how different things could be had Carson made a simple phone call...
Never underestimate the stupidity of people

Caldwell was an unnecessary appointment by us and just part of the story of failure we have been creating since paul cook left us.

He was dreadful but he'd be like Iniesta in this side.

I've got a question for Ashley. At what point before the end of the season did you know that Nolan would be moving to Shrewsbury?

He says he didn't know until a bid was made in the close season

Wasn't there a statement/comment at the time along the lines that AC was paly with one of the hierarchy at Shrewsbury?
Derbyshire is Derbyshire
Yorkshire is Yorkshire

Never the twain shall meet.

Normally, we've been keen to issue glowing references for former employees following their abrupt departure from CFC!

The outstanding moment for me that encapsulated Caldwell's abysmal failure, was when he said to one of his assistants, "You don't have faith in what I'm trying to do. The reply was something along the lines of, "3 wins out of thirty, you bet I ******* don't."

Having said that, I hope he's successful and you can't begrudge the optimism of Partick Thistle as every new manager bring optimism; whatever their record.

More famous names in next post please

I'll do my best.

Maybe I should include notes too -

Max Ernst created a very famous picture of his fellow surrealists.
Marcelo Bielsa has created football teams around the world whose sum was greater than their parts.
Banksy created a painting which literally and mysteriously shredded itself when sold. He does not explain his art or his actions.
Chesterfield was an erstwhile football club which appeared to self-destruct though no-one could quite identify the exact finger/s on the button or the real motive behind the crime.

Yeah I think people should keep writing the same old same old. It simultaneously makes them happier and keeps them miserable - a remarkable achievement.

No need for the notes, just keep throwing in names if it makes you happy 😂

But if you enjoy being patronising let's have the notes too

This is Caldwell's new assistant:

https://www.dailyrec...-touch-12337145

To be fair to him the documentary was apparently a bit of a stitch-up and I've heard players speak well of Kerr in podcasts about lower divisions Scottish football.

As for Caldwell, what a chancer. I'm surprised to see him get a chance at a club as big as Partick- thought it might be Albion or Annan for him. Ten years ago I watched the Jags for the only time and the crowd turned on their manager in style with 'Campbell, Get Tae F**k' chanted over and over. It might not be long before Caldwell gets the same.
These go to eleven.

It didn't start well for Gazza Caldwell. A 1-0 defeat at Alloa, their first win of the season
