I was told at the match on saturday that the voting is a sham and they have already ordered the black kit. Not being a cynic I didn't believe it, but I'm not so sure now having seen the designs. I think the voting should be scrutinised by the Electoral Reform Society to ensure that everything is above board - after all we don't want to see the club's good name dragged through the mud again after the nepotism scandal re the club's IT contracts.

Back to topic, the green one is my choice, looks very good and distinctive; would sell hundreds. Don't like the other two and certainly wouldn't buy either

That's the one, so remembering back all this behind the scenes stuff would appear to have been going on for longer than we think I suppose!

Few threads covering it all here in 2013 :-

From memory Ched had joined the club prior to his appeal hearing. I am pretty sure he missed a couple of months of the season as a result.

I thought he joined after his appeal hearing success, but missed a chunk of the season his retrial was in october time?

Edit:

He won his appeal on 21st April

His signing was anounced on 20th June

He was found not guilty on 14th October

Thank you Sammy.

Not being au fait with the legal jargon, I thought the appeal hearing was where he was cleared. So he successfully managed to get a retrial prior to him signing for us? If this topic is included we need to use the correct terminology at the point where he joined us.

No idea of dates but didn't it go along the lines of

The original conviction had been declared un sound just before he joined us , this then made the final hearing a formality.

Technically and legally not guilty .......... Fully innocent only Ched and the girl really know that.

A real hornets nest !

You have a habit of libellous comments. 'Convicted rapist' was one of them.

It was just a friendly word of advice.

More accurately would be CPS saying “signed a convicted rapist”.....he was for a period of time a convicted rapist. But not when we signed him.

At the time we signed him, his conviction had been quashed, so he was someone accused of that offence.

My issue is the club binned all morality to sign a player and take the heat for it, on behalf of the blunts for a few £££. Disgusting.

From that moment I saw the morals of Ashley Carson laid bare. Throw in all the other stuff, the Ernie Moss stewarding scandal be8ng another true show of Carson’s moral compass...... then not a penny more until they have gone, hopefully via a prison cell.

Screenshot this and show it to Ashley if you don’t mind......This is what sort of wretch your standing by. When they have gone, where does this leave your reputation?
A new hope.

I'm not igniting the whole Evans thing again.

But signing a bloke who'd suffered an atrocious miscarriage of justice shouldn't even get a mention on Carson and Allens rap sheet. In my opinion.

I might agree if it were that alone but the plan cooked up to allow us to take the heat and for him to then return as a Sheffield United 'hero' is what grates.

Some might have seen it as the club taking a huge risk and gambling with its reputation.

Let's also not forget about my first meeting with Sutcliffe and Turner when an ex member of staff from the development centre suffered an absolutely disgusting and completely untrue character assassination.

This person has provided so much valuable and factual information about the wrong doings across the road that would have probably never have been addressed without their amazing courage and resolve to reveal the truth despite being subjected to veiled threats and slurs.

Needless to say everything this person revealed has proven to be totally accurate.

All the questions I posed at the original meeting were answered with either lies or half truths.

Other meetings over a number of months with both CT,LS and sometimes with AC present saw further questions answered with distorted versions of the truth or downright lies.

Hes fully innocent of the rape allegation. The record proves it. If anyone doesn't accept it because of an assumption or hunch on their part as opposed to evidence that's their problem.

In my opinion if that whistleblower had not come forward then all transactions between the two companies would still be hidden and Sutcliffe and Turner would still be Directors (until of course their gormlessness created another new scandal).
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

Given the passage of time are you able to share some of the known facts?
