If he included all the foul ups made here it'd be a book not a blog post

I think we should have a recap and start a list, keep it updated as a 'pinned post at the top'

I'll start and from memory it starts in no particular order:
Ched Evans signing
Ernie Moss charity match - stewarding charges
Fake raffle
The association with the 'Academy' across the road
150th Anniversary 'non-event'
Alleged illegal payments
FA investigation
Dean Saunders appointment
Gary Caldwell appointment
The other 'nomark' managerial appointment!
Wrong kit
Alleged insider betting re: Martin Allen

...and so the list goes on!

Disgraceful.

In what context did the individual make the claim and were any reasons given as to why a credit check had been conducted on the messageboard member, do you know?

Right.

Basically, as we know someone off this board enquiries about the club to which someone fell for it hook line and sinker.

Once it all came out on here the lad received emails. A week or so after he got an “update” saying that a certain individual and his lawyers were aware of the blokes name, place of work, size of family and even his credit rating (meaning obviously a credit check had been conducted without his permission) also that every sale and movement within the club was known (not exact words) he was also told not to defame the bloke further or he would be banned from club until such a time a certain individual leaves the club
Every need got an ego to feed

The illegal payments weren't alleged, my friend - CFC pled guilty and we're fined around fifteen grand including costs.

I also seem to remember an HMRC fine for inadequate book-keeping.

Then there were the CCJ's.

Then there was the Liam Graham episode.

Then the profanities on Carson's social media.

Then the threats to fans.

Then the former Assay Office bloke becoming kit man.

Then Sally Swain.

Then the Chinese bid thing.

Then the 'consortium of convenience' thing.

Then...then...then...
Never underestimate the stupidity of people

This should also be printed and distributed around the ground along with the article this week and Grahams in the DT from last week. :windup

A nice high level view to all fans what has gone off.

Do you happen to know what the latest is?
Has the poster been deterred?
He could, for example, paste one of the emails on here without further comment. No defamation involved.

I would suggest the solicitor involved is made aware of the communication and asked for further clarification, especially in respect to the claim about the credit score/reference.
