For what it is worth I dont for one minute buy DA being concerned about loosing MA or anyone associated with the club or indeed any of his business interests.

Sentiment plays no part, I appreciate MA popularity and potential may have been a small part of the decision process, the only one really is how DA comes out on top. In this instance it is enevitable all he can really do is mitigate his losses and work on the best outcome, if that creates collateral damage so be it.

Apologies for that oversight, it wasn't done on purpose. However i'm pretty certain a similar comment was made following the breakdown of the initial Brearley bid and DA committing to getting this club back to where it should be.

DA made those sentiments on 15th May in this interview with the Chesterfield Post, where he said it was Brearley on his own, not a consortium, that had been interested in buying the club, he didn't do failure and wanted to turn it around.

I've had an explanation from AC as to why the original article from Martin was pulled

He promised Martin he would be the first to know the news about the takeover and told him at 5pm yesterday. Martin told him he wanted to put somethibg out. AC asked to see it first.

Meanwhile AC was attending a dinner, intending to release something later.

Martin gave Nick Johnson the piece and asked for it to be put out straight away, saying AC knew about it. Nick put it out without checking but AC wanted to put something out first, hence why the article was pulled. It was later reposted without Martin's comments being edited.

It feels a little like a gentle show of strength from MA, just a reminder that he wants to be front and centre.
