Biggs had his say...

Re #Chesterfieldfc takeover rumours, certainly something afoot. NOT involving Reg Brealey now, as I understand it. The central characters could well include ex #sufc player Tony Kenworthy & ex Blades (& Owls) secretary Dick Chester. All in the balance.

Dick Chester recently gave evidence to the Hillsborough enquiry as he was the previous club secretary.

You could have given the job to the one thousandth fan through the turnstiles on Wednesday, and he or she would not have been less well-qualified.

Seems he is still involved, manager of Stockton Town U16's

After all that Ashley has said about wanting to put things right and that David would lose too much money if he sold in the National League, why are they selling the club now? They appear a little desperate!

Wonder how long Martin Allen would last if he had to work under a Director of Football, especially one with so little experience in the field.

2mins-he recently said in one of his interviews how pleased he was by the lack of interference from above

A non league club with a director of football?
Hang on. How long was it since we made Chris Turner redundant?

He already has to go to Carson to ask DA what he can do and can't do until we know what the new owners plans are why start to dismantle the working of the club. Simply we know nothing yet

Just as Martin Allen starts to resort a little more confidence for the coming season, we are hit with another sledgehammer.

We know Directors of Football tend to dictate player recruitment and style of football. Those in the know have told us we have a DoF lined up. We have seen up and down the country new DoFs unsettle and see off incumbent managers
We know plenty and it doesn’t look good.

So NAPM brigade, what happens if this goes through? You all coming back?

I was gonna renew on Thursday, I’m extremely dubious about doing so now though.

A clip from May’s LinkedIn page say he ‘specialises in transforming distressed assets into thriving investments’.
Not far off some’s definition of an asset stripper.

According to a biography of him that appeared in the local parish magazine when he was appointed Treasurer to the Bradwell Parish Council, Richard Chester served as Company Secretary at Sheffield United for five years and as CEO at Sheffield Wednesday for four. I think he pre-dates Hillsborough, though, so his last active involvement seems to be a long time ago. He was apparently born in 1940, which means the man rumoured to be lined up as our next CEO is 78 years old.

Correspondence address is one of those virtual offices - would suggest it's a front for having achieved nothing whatsoever

My thoughts exactly... probably borrowing money from DA to pay DA, putting even more pressure on the club financially

Compulsory liquidation by Companies House too - for non filing of documents I imagine, and not responding to letters.

Maybe admin wont get any better under this lot....

There is also a property business called Alex May Partners LLP - maybe that is him too?
