According to a biography of him that appeared in the local parish magazine when he was appointed Treasurer to the Bradwell Parish Council, Richard Chester served as Company Secretary at Sheffield United for five years and as CEO at Sheffield Wednesday for four. I think he pre-dates Hillsborough, though, so his last active involvement seems to be a long time ago. He was apparently born in 1940, which means the man rumoured to be lined up as our next CEO is 78 years old.
It's nice to be able to Trust again.

I am sure that Tony Kenworthy spent some time in the big house.

He was given nine months for perverting the course of justice in 1998. Yorkshire Post: "Kenworthy had been out for a night at Owlerton dog track with a friend in 1988 but on his way home had crashed after going through a red light on Penistone Road in Sheffield. To compound his error, he drove away and later claimed his vehicle had been stolen. He was found guilty at Sheffield Crown Court of perverting the course of justice and not stopping after an accident.

The only saving grace that DA has is that he does actually genuinely have money. If he sells to a consortium that isn’t well capitalised I’d be concerned that we’ve just moved the debt from a secure place to an less secure place that will also now start demanding interest.

That's it then we really are going to the dogs.

Does any of it really matter if we get rid of Carson and Allen?

Tram Sports Ltd.

Richard Chester - CEO.

Tony Kenworthy - DoF.

Martin Mellish.

Alex May.

I would imagine Brealey in all but name!

If this rumour has legs is any of this down to the current FA enquiry seeing as it's raised it's head again at this time

Alex May's involvement is not so easy to weigh up, at first looking. A current LinkedIn page for a firm of his named Warwick Advisory Partners says that he is a successful property entrepreneur, having bought and sold £127m worth of property in London and Manchester. Warwick Advisory Partners was dissolved on 17th April this year, however, without apparently trading at any time in its 18 months of life. At least, it submitted no accounts to Companies House.

Mr. May appears to have recently joined the board of Scotia Exploration Ltd, which appears to be run by a Dr. Paul Thomas Dougan, who is worth a google. Scotia offers attractive-looking rates of return on investments in gold mining in the UK and Ireland. Up to 309% in one of the examples on its website! Dougan has clearly upset a number of people: https://www.complain...on-c687424.html Of the other people mentioned in the Diamond Construction part, Liam Ward was also on the board of Scotia Exploration (leaving the day before Mr May joined) and Lord Rowallen appears among the who's who in its website, here: http://www.scotiaexploration.com/ Any similarities between the Scotia website and the old Royal Pearl one are, of course, coincidental.

What is not so blindingly obvious after an hour on the laptop is who exactly the money man is. So, I reckon it is DA, lending it. Sounds daft, doesn't it, that an owner should lend money to someone to buy a club off him. Can anyone think of a precedent...?

Oh yes.

I'm told the buyers were waiting until the outcome was known, fearing a points deduction, before deciding to proceed with the deal

One of the directors Anthony David Kenworthy (ex Mansfield player) was manager at Grantham at the same time Brierley was there

If the sale goes through how long before Martin Allen leaves, an extended stay in the National League beckons

You could have given the job to the one thousandth fan through the turnstiles on Wednesday, and he or she would not have been less well-qualified.

DA said be careful what you wish for. If this gets him out then his concern for CFC is over

Who said an extended stay wasn't going to happen if DA stayed?

Biggs had his say...

Re #Chesterfieldfc takeover rumours, certainly something afoot. NOT involving Reg Brealey now, as I understand it. The central characters could well include ex #sufc player Tony Kenworthy & ex Blades (& Owls) secretary Dick Chester. All in the balance.
