Lol, I'm with you pal. Not sure that's showing us in a good light tbh, but that what happens! Get used to it as the younger ones will become us in a couple more world cups

The exhubrance of youth, my sons been living the dream for a month, he's 17, but I'm sorry I just couldn't reach the excitement heights of the younger ones.

How many of this side would have made the 1990 side?

Parker for tripier? Wright for Maguire? Other than that I’m struggling

Agreed mate. Not only that after having watched a succession of England sides we could see that one wasn't that good! We've had it really bad for the last few world cup so folks clutch at straws to be frank. Our best hope tonight was penalties after the first 20/25mins we were the second best side. Best team won, no disputing that. Massive disappointment as I really wanted to see a us against quality opposition in the final. Tonight was the first proper test in this WC and we weren't at the races tbf.

Shocking! What's somebody's sexual preference got to do with anything? Have a word with yourself. Yes, we maybe 50+ and seen a few disappointing world cups in our time, but we at least we aren't living in the 1930's! I'd be really embarrassed posting that to be frank! We all love England, but folk got far too carried away on an very average England side that had all the luck of any England side I've ever know! The over hyped ****@ that repeatedly came out of the media didn't help matters either.

Overhyped?
Freddie Mercury or England.

Very sad that the idiots revelling in England's defeat come crawling out of the woodwork like dirty cockroaches as expected tonight

We looked good first half and then couldn't adapt.
CPS is very narrow minded btw

Nobody's revelling mate. We are all hurting (how many years now??). The pain was much greater for me against West Germany as we played better and had a better side imo. Plus to lose on penalties is so cruel in a world cup semi final!

In a nutshell! Two shots on target in 120mins of football, how can you argue against that?? Best team won and as much as it hurts I'll always be a big enough man to admit that. Well, I was going to sack Monday off if we won the final (and I'm my own boss) lol
It's like watching town following England.. I just want one season in the Championship and a World Cup final... Is that really too much too ask?? BTW, it's not something I thought about when we last went out of a world cup semi final! It looks like an FA cup semi final is as good as it's going to get

I've been to see England many many times at the old and new Wembley and always love them to do well. The hype didn't help, but we were found wanting. The other stuff, well I think it speaks volumes.

Saying queen only wrote 2 good songs is like saying Brazil never won 5 world cups.I think cps is off his head after Inhaling linament whilst massaging a hamstring.

Spireite Karl - put a bleeding sock in it will you?! Just cos you’re a manic depressive (as exemplified by your avatar, on top of your consistently misery guts posts) doesn’t mean you have to force it down everyone else’s throats on here every other post. My god, man. Yes, we were very very disappointing tonight and I have woke up with a hangover from hell and a fight with the missus for being rowdy but I’d like a bit of balance - who thought we’d achieve so much a month ago? I need a bit of cheer right now not yet another bleak autopsy from you.

Alli biggest let down for me, he wasn’t right from the off, HK flattered to deceive

Suppose Southgate should take some criticism though, he should have been able to switch tactics when we were being overrun
