Anyone who works in a regulated industry knows it’s not just a restriction on certain actions but the removal of any suggestion that these actions could take place

Even stretches to things like competitions ‘family members may not apply’.

These things aren’t difficult, it’s pretty basic stuff.
If you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anything.

So cARSEons lad lumped the money on MA being next CFC manager 3-4 days before MA rejected his offer of a new deal @ Barnet.

Seems glaringly obvious to me either the lads clairvoyant, or he had a heads up from someone!

I know what my money is on (without insider information)

I wonder whether John Croot will require an official complaint before speaking with carson about this one.

I gave Carson the benefit of the doubt immediately after CT was ‘dismissed’. I communicated with him and he assured me everything was above board and that he was going to make a positive difference to the club. Well Ashley you’ve failed miserably.

On top of that I lived in hope that others at the club would move to tidy things up, the likes of Mike Warner, John Croot and so on, well you’ve failed as well, and the longer you stick around without showing some steel and acting in the best interests of the club, your names will forever be tarnished.

Just what is the motivation for Warner, Croot and co to stick around? Cos it certainly ain’t the well-being of CFC. There’s been a lot of talk recently about the players looking themselves in the mirror, I’d suggest a few of those ‘upstairs’ ought to do the same.

Jeez, at the rate we are going we may be the first team in history to finish a season still with a negative points tally when they are done docking points off us.

Most unprofessional club in football ever

This isn’t the club though is it and look on the bright side if this doesn’t get Carson removed then nothing will.
Lester had gone by the time the bet was laid and it was obvious we were looking for a new manager. Equally obvious that Carson may have told his lad about theinterest in Allen Even with all the buffoonery I find it hard to believe Carson would have known about the bet and he’s probably fuming about it. But knowing about it or not the buck will/should stop with him and he should go.

I’d say that with an FA charge of financial irregularities hanging over the club, the timing could not have been worse.

If this is an isolated incident then no it doesn't affect the club. But it isn't. When a club is already getting investigated for players (supposedly) getting paid by outside institutions and thus circumnavigating FFP and has a recent history of fraud (James Higgins) then people start wondering whether or not this is a coincidence or yet another example of misconduct and it's a son of a director no less, the one person likely to know about stuff like this on advance. It really couldn't have come at a worse time

it's the son of the person running the club on a day to day basis

we could ask Sky Bet how many others put as much as £20 on this outcome at 25/1?

Agree. But it reflects badly on the club just like all the other scandals. Be interesting to see if Cashley lets his lad take the rap!

For someone who should be used to investigations, to putting pieces of evidence together and building up a picture of individuals and organisations your very very tolerant of the regime.

We have had fake raffle winners, we have had sponsorship by fictitious companies (royal pearl), we have had players paid by third parties,we have had doctored emails relating to player transfers and we are currently under investigation by the FA and FL.

What sort of picture does it paint so far?

We now have alleged insider knowledge relating to betting on who the clubs next manager will be. What picture are you looking at? Because the one I am looking at wouldn’t be found in the Louvre
A new hope.

Ask yourself what benefit there has been to “the club” from Carson Junior winning £520. Then look at the other things that HAVE had some direct link to the club.
They’re not even on the same page.

It’s like investigating someone for bank robbery then finding out their wife got a parking ticket whilst using his Bentley for overstaying on the Donut.

Having said that, like I said earlier the buck still has to stop with AC whether he knew about it or not. If he had anything about him he’d resign now.

He can’t have been that confident of MA coming, or he would have put much more on that £20

Due to insider knowledge on that market the most any bookie will let you wager is £20.

You're right - Carson should go.

Infact he should've 'gone' a long time ago.

And the list of reasons is as long as the proverbial 'piece of string': 'Rafflegate', CFCFDS, abusing fans, screwing-up ticket allocations, appointing cronies, FA investigations, suspicious sponsorship, Caldwell, Branston, the deal deadening deposit demand, relegation, FA charges, 'The Wrong Shirts', Stu Basson and now this.

With each and every episode accompanied by what we might refer to as 'contradictory' comments.

But he won't 'go', will he.

And that says everything you need to know about Chesterfield FC under this regime...
Never underestimate the stupidity of people
