Look. This is just typical of a modern day of thinking.
“If it’s broke then chuck it away and get a new one”
150yrs of history. 150!
Most of which were watched at our spiritual home of Saltergate.
Great names such as Blakey, Fearn, Banks, Moss, Davies And Lester.
Great memories like the Anglo Scottish cup final, FA Cup wins against Forest, Wrexham whilst en route to the semi final at Old Trafford, trips to Wembley to watch our club play both under the twin towers and the arch. The championship wins and promotions. All masterminded by managers such as Cox, Duncan, Sheridan and Cook. And all thrown away because we aren’t happy with the way the club is being run.
All those supporters that walked through the Saltergate turnstiles that stood on the kop, stood on Compton street, sat in those wooden benches in the stand and cheered on Chesterfield football club. All for what? So we could just turn our backs on a 150yrs of footballing history so we could spite the current regime?
It’s a bad time to be a Spireite, there’s no two ways about that, there’s absolutely no way of denying it and if the club does go to the wall (god forbid) then let’s at least be able to hold our heads up and say that it wasn’t down to us that the club closed it’s doors.
AFC Chesterfield would not and would never be Chesterfield FC. Just think of that and let it set in before shouting off about shutting up shop next time.

Well said, sir.
It amazes me that as a collective, there's only talk of a protest and no action; something as "simple" as a protest in comparison to what they want next.
And yet, there's this pipe dream of AFC Chesterfield being organised, funded and soundly run by people yet to be decided, as a legitimate alternative to CFC.
