It's like people at other clubs don't understand how MA works. You offer him money - he either says yes or no. If he succeeds (or in other words, if you're at Barnet because we're the only place he has for a while), he takes the increased pay offer from another club regardless of how things are looking for the original team. He then gets sacked and takes the pay off, comes back to us for a while and the cycle starts again.
He's always been a short term manager who can and does command a big payment. Signing him won't solve Chesterfields long term issues, just like it has its never done with us.
He's the biggest money grabber there is.

If Allen succeeds to get us up & we get consistency into our game, & does one...as long as we learn from our previous mistakes (after Cook left), we should attract a better kind of manager (depending who owns the club of course)

You'd think Carson or Dunford or Warner could come up with some innovative proposal which richly rewards success so as to specifically rule out 'pension pot' mentality applicants. If you don't like it, apply for summat else. Mental dinosaurs.

I find nothing about him remotely appealing.
Alas he'll fit right in with the ethos of those running CFC these days.

Perhaps not in the same league as, say, Dean Saunders (who is?!) or Phil Brown but I'm sure he's sat in plenty of Sky studios and taken part in the mutually matey back-patting on Talksport.

This is going to be MA last chance saloon cos if he fails here now then he ain't gonna get another Job out of Barnet. My concern is that were a set up that can sit in the championship easily, I'm just not sure if MA is the man that take us there.

The DS has a nice apartment he can move in to. Brilliant for entertaining. He might find a pair of Saunder's underpants in the airing cupboard.

Could be the new-Cookie, in one one way at least.
Any local pub landlord worth their salt will be planning to lure him in early.

He failed at Eastleigh but Barnet took him back.

I think he lives around Maidenhead way, where most of the Thames has 'Private- Keep Out' signs along its banks. If he moves to Staveley then he can have free run of the canal towpath. That must be it.
