I like the idea of "Townbobbies", Warfey. Like the Teletubbies, only shocking at defending set pieces.

If he’s not good enough for Southport he’s not good enough for us. Please no. Not the time for another ex player.

As one poster on their message-board (the only one who doesn't back the decision) writes he's been very harshly done to; that poster says he hopes Davies proves what a mistake has been made, like a certain Paul Cook who was sacked from his first managerial job - at Southport. Mind he'd be well advised to give Chesterfield a wide berth until certain people have departed the club.
I couldn't agree more. Kev wont be out of work for long, and there are clubs in NL and NLN that are in a better position than us to make him an offer so as to get the experience he needs. Kevs memory of his career path as a player wont be lost on him. No rush.

Either someone has done a 2+2=5 calculation or KD is planning to take over the club and install himself as manager.

Gotta say I've never heard his name associated with any of those showing interest, either rumoured or actual.

its just wishful thinking really. the only thing that comes close to anything like this is that after the Allen AGM walk out, he did attend a game and i do seem to recall an interview in which he said he'd be willing to help out on the financial side of things if needed, nothing much more than that.
