Two points really. Re Jack, I just find it tragic that people are ambivalent. He tried and failed fair play but the joy he's given us outweighs his failed attempt to make a silk purse out of a sows ear. Second point re football and costs etc its all relative. Without TV money and oligarchs etc there's probably not one single club in the UK that is realistically sustainable. So why does anyone do it?

Financial prudence, Logic and facts are some things many fans ignore.

At CFC it’s something everyone ignores

I think there maybe some jiggery pokery at Accrington and Burton will get a decent wedge from being in the Championship. I probably wasn't clear enough, if the argument is that you shouldn't invest in a team because the crowds don't cover costs then you wouldn't invest in ANY team because ticket income doesn't cover outgoings at any team in the league.

I totally agree surely every fan of every club want to see there team in the highest league possible. even now that we dropping none league I still hope at my age 52 that one day we will get new owners with ambition and I live long enough to see us in championship . pipe dream I know at moment. But look at Burton less support than us and thay could survive again for a third season.hell I would take one season.that's why I go to football and am gonna be renewing my season ticket. in the hope Allen and Carson will be gone one day and we get back were we belong in football league for a start. Than see what happens from their. not to much to ask is it.?

I guess every club has it’s black sheep- the court jester, it would appear, is ours.
A new hope.

Mildly supportive but generally sullen until things go wrong, then it will turn a bit ugly.

If the Rottweilers are back in the centre circle and truncheons drawn, that should deter any substantial pitch incursion

How many will actually be there tomorrow?

Less than 3000 in reality I suspect.

It didn't look that many from the TV footage.

I met a copper who was in the control room at Ripley for the Wycombe match as they were expecting trouble- apparently there is no video feed to Ripley, which seems daft in this day and age- they have to make calls on policing based on reports from those at the ground. Anyhow, he said that they could see a few people stand up individually at different times in the Kop, looking down for others to join in taking action, but that since it all seemed so un-coordinated and half-hearted, the police never had much to do (until the end when Wycombe celebrated, I suppose, looking at the TV footage).
These go to eleven.

Looking at the ticket website sales seem to be around normal. I'd have thought more people would claim the refunds that they were entitled to due to it being rearranged. I suppose if it was purchased as part of the 3 for 2 it was free anyway.

I'm only going hoping that a few of the younger players will get a run out. With nothing at stake for either team I don't see the point in fielding the loan players. Might be different on Saturday where they may feel obliged to put out the 'strongest team'

I’d say it was about that to be honest , I got to my seat a little later than normal and I was surprised at the amount of folk who’d bothered to turn up. I was also shocked/disappointed at how friendly the atmosphere was. A few negative chants in stoppage time but that was about it.

Seemed to be a lot of freebies flying around Saturday. I know I only went because of one, as did several of my companions. Opportunity to use vouchers from mates' ST books, too (shifted quite a few pints and pies for nowt - cheers, Dave!).

Apparently the lounges were rammed by folk having one last hurrah before oblivion. To the point that one group allegedly turned up to find their table already occupied. Yup, exactly what's needed when sponsors seem to be abandoning the Club en masse.*

*Let me say loud and clear for any screenshotters that this is merely an unsubstantiated rumour passed on by a mate who did hospitality.
