His agent will have got him a two year deal somewhere on less money but which is more attractive and less risk than staying here for another year on good money but then being unemployable. Under those circumstances a relatively small payout will do the trick 'cos at his age a 2 year is good security.

That's been the problem. They've given everything and it's not been good enough. I fear for next season if the majority of this lot are here next season because I don't believe they are good enough for the Conference either. Whoever comes in to sort out a competitive team for next season, never mind a promotion winning one, will simply be handed the poison chalice.

A good start would be for the owner to make an appearance and give a positive statement that would lift morale.

Players do do that when they've nowt to play for, for example when the match is meaningless cos we are relegated, or when the second half is meaningless 'cos we are already 3 down. They turn it on when there's no pressure.

probably not possible but we need as close to a full clear out as possible.
