I hope there will be no atmosphere - let the players that are staying get used to it...

Glad to see our leaders are leading by example tomorrow...

a damp squid, I've given up caring about the results. Just want a honest new Board and a team manager who will bring the good times back to the Proact. I still feel gutted about Jack going, the relegation hasn't kicked in yet.

Squid are normally wet, rather than just damp, on account of where they live.

I get the sentiment in your post and I can fully understand why many feel that way, however, for me this is about bowing out gracefully and showing those few players that do put some effort in (although that won't necessarily be combined with talent), that we still care about them and our club. Evo is in charge and one of the more loyal servants to this club you would struggle to find, he deserves our support. I expect that he will pick a team of players who, in the main are contracted to CFC and are likely to show some commitment and heart, or their a*ses he will be kicking, I feel a boycott wouldn't be offering him and them the support that they will need. DA and AC won't be there so a mass exodus and statement of intent/protest won't affect them in any way other than be a few quid down on the non-season ticket holders or pay on the day cohort - what's losing a few grand compared with what they are already owed and won't be picking up next season?

Get there, get behind them (if you can) and show the world (not the IMHO (added to avoid litigation) inept few that caused this debacle) that we still care about this club.

Sadly, this disgraceful chapter in the journey of our beloved club is set to continue, I'll still make games where I can - what else am I going to do - support another team - not B****Y likely!!!

COYB

If you expect these contracted players to show some commitment and heart, they need to have a radical change from the previous 40 odd games this season.

I've got a lot of time for Evo as a club servant but I don't believe he needs my support tomorrow. He's looking after a sunken ship for three games to see the season out. He knows the failings this year and I'd hope he fully understands why the ground is almost empty. It's been woeful and fans have had a belly full.

I hope there's a vile atmosphere plenty of fans venting their frustration towards the board AND players, I hope the game is marred with pitch invasions and gets abandoned.
Although I think town fans have gone soft and will probably do nothing.

And that would achieve?

Maybe the not a Penny more brigade or the stay aways are playing straight into Allen's hands. I see where they are coming from but Imo it's a dangerous game and it's just what Allen wants

I would rather line their pockets than not have a club to support.

I'm not staying away tomorrow because of Dave Allen or his little lackey.

I'm staying away because I have had enough of watching absolute dross served up week in week out. I'll always be a Chesterfield Football Club fan but I'm not chucking good money away enduring another defeat when our season is well and truly over.

Hopefully a productive summer both on and off the pitch will help alter by bad mood.

Been all sorts of thoughts flying around about the atmosphere at tomorrow's match. Will fans be baying for blood? Will there be a mass release of black balloons? Will the crowd turn their backs as the players come out? Will there be venom in the air? Doubt it. The fans have had all the stuffing knocked out of them by three years of being dumped on. My guess is that there may be a few 'Carson out' chants on kick off followed by 'there's only one Jack Lester' on 14 minutes. Other than that, the Proact will be witness to a wake attended by a huddle of bemused, bewildered and downright depressed fans.

I forecast a massive drop in attendance with little or no atmosphere.
God I hate this league.

For the first time in a long time I can see a four figure total of no show season ticket holders.

Ill be surprised if there is 3000 home fans in attendance. Lose and there won't be 2000 in the ground for the Newport match.

If one of Allen's other enterprises suffered from a drastic reduction in footfall, what would he do, carry on pumping money in or get involved and sack the person who was running the place? Or would he expect clients to still turn up, even though they were guaranteed a crap experience?

Edit: just to be clear, In any other of Allen's enterprises, Carson's equivalent would have been sacked. So the £15m pound question is, why is Carson still in a job and even more so, driving a Bentley?

#notapennymore from me, if you get my drift.

It's so blatant it's stupid. Why is he still involved in CFC, it must surely be because Allen is happy with what he's doing...it's been this way for the last few years. But why don't the relevant media ask the same question that's asked time and time again on this board. Forget Biggs and Radio Sheffield, they're a waste of time, but I thought now that relegation is confirmed then the more local media could be far more "vicious" in their attitude.
