I thought last time we had a breakdown of player wages (in 2016) it was close to £3M for the year, including bonuses and NI

So a total of £200K per month doesn't seem that far out now

Being £150K short seems to be the head scratcher to me

I read that as being 150k short now, as if the clubs run out of the cash from ST sales, sponsorship etc, and only income now is pay on the day.

4 months of that, is the 600k also mentioned

A new hope.

That must be the case as £150K per month over the course of a year is unsustainable (as if your second figure isn't )

What will be interesting is how he's going to manage the wages next year if we go down as we have so many contracted until 2019 (it's an entire squad)
Accentuate th Positive, eliminate the negative

He's told me previously that there are relegation clauses in the contracts (not sure if he meant all though)

It's indicative from the paucity of posts on the Annual Accounts thread that supporters now don't give s**t about it any more. He says he'll get stick at the AGM. Well I hope there are no questions about the accounts as that action will send a far clearer message.

He spouts on about having nowt to hide and the fact that 3rd parties praise the accounts, and yet the 2.5 page Auditor's Report make no mention of an alleged FA/EFL investigation, an alleged bust up with Turner, or an alleged financial battle with Liquidators. I'm assured by a top accountant that the excuse that these matters are ongoing and shouldn't be referenced in a report about the previous financial year is tantamount to hogwash because of their importance when reporting to Shareholdersr. Do we have an Auditor reading who would second that?

If you're not happy with the content of the Auditor's Report, then you should take it up with the auditors - they write it, not the club.

An audit report on a set of limited company accounts is a standard report and will only be flexed to incorporate specific data that relates to the answers to that standard format. The items referenced will therefore only be of relevance and incorporated in the auditors report if they are deemed to impact on the true and fair view of the accounts or the going concern basis of preparation.

The bus up with Turner would be irrelevant. The ongoing investigation by the FA would be relevant if we should be providing for fines and other punishments but at this stage we should be able to justify not recognising it.

Similarly any dispute with liquidators of the development school should still be at a stage where it's reasonable not to recognise any penalty - so no impact on accounts and no need for auditor to mention.

Carillion got a clean audit report from KPMG only a few months ago - don't hold too much stead by its content...

As usual his maths are out we have 40 players on the books that's 5k each..no chance

I thought someone mentioned 76 staff on the payroll - which sounds more reasonable...

I'm sure that will be the standard patter, yet I've been told by an expert that some ongoing things are deemed so serious and advanced that shareholders are entitled to be informed punctually. The Auditor's customers are surely the shareholders?

Suspect there was a comment on there which was potentially libellous. And no, I am not going to say what it was

The shareholders will have the opportunity to ask the auditor at the AGM before they vote on the accounts and the auditor's reappointment.

Hopefully the net is closing in on the two of them.
Whatever damage they have done to the club, I hope they pay for it in the long term (hopefully sharing a cell with an ex-scaffolder called Deirdre).

Yep. Perhaps the next home game requires a serious effort at a public protest. I'd suggest a mass pitch incursion to get the game called off but while we have a chance of survival I wouldn't want anything that could genuinely affect the players (not that much could make them worse).

How would you even go about organising some protest? Even if it’s a meet at a pub/March to the ground type of jobby? I’d be happy to get involved but wouldnt know where to start

Here. Social media. Wouldn't take much at all.

Even if it's just a #PantsOnHeadProtest in the car park till ten past three.

Merely an awareness raising session for stage one.
