Will take 500+. FA Cup 1st round always adds a few onto the gate. Remember us travelling well all over in recent years in the 1st round, regardless of league form.

We took 267 in Dannys last match in charge in January this year.

If we take 500 plus I assume it will be because we will have been on an amazing run and its about a tenner.

I want to share your optimism, I really do.

Be surprised if we take more than 200 fans to Bradford. Bit of a bogey side for us recently over the years, given the god damn awful team and form another thrashing looks on the cards.

Only Rochdale away could have trumped this shocking draw.

Nothing could trump this shocking draw

If it's a tenner I can see there being just under 500.

Both would be preferable, as we would have a better chance of progressing.

Really? I don’t think we’d even progress if we were playing a team of stevie wonders and they spent the whole 90 minutes playing a keyboard each.

The Beeb's presentation of the draw is crap, but then the draw itself is so antiquated and unexciting innit? The great thumping fred-flintstone balls clunk out of the bag at glacial pace into sort transparent plastic cauldron. They're given a cursory stir before a nervous celebrity player pokes in a roving hand and pulls out number 6 so that a second wooden-faced forgotten star can plunge in his hand and hopefully avoid pulling out the very next number considering they've hardly been stirred at all. Hooray he's managed to find just one ball and it's miles away from 6, it's 13, unlucky for some. So that's top team Bradford and Chesterfield who ........ oh yeah they once got well and truly ellerayed didn't they?

Why do we need the bag, why do we need clunky great bowling balls, why do we need terrified wooden celeb ex-players? Why can't the balls go off excitingly bouncing about landing into Home and Away shoots? Why can't the names of the teams flash up on screens when they do? Why can't a knowledgeable commentator say something interesting about the tie, rather two bits of crap from the eighty one-liners on a script?

Why must a competition which is losing its appeal be made to look as if it is stuck in a time warp from 1971, with a teensy bit of political correctness added to ensure at least one nail-file female voice is now ever-present?

Thank you Dean Saunders for ensuring I don't have to watch the draw for Round Two.

Could this be a blessing in disguise?

Think about it - once we exit the Cup there's not another brass farthing to be had out of Chesterfield FC.

Yeah I guess Rowley may be worth a few bob further down the line, but that'll be ass-wipe compared to what Allen'll have to chuck in just to keep Town ticking over.

The only possible future for our club is one without the current crew. Last evening's draw may've brought that day a little further forward.
Never underestimate the stupidity of people

Exactly we have survived on payouts due to gross mismanagement. The cupboard will be well and truely bare after the exit with not a single thing worth owt...only the club itself to flog
ITS NOT THE WINNING,ITS THE TAKING APART

2nd and 3rd the fact that they are both a better day out with decent places to stop close by for a slurp. Bradford and the surrounding environs are a dump and intimidating to boot.

Would have thought Shaw Lane v Mansfield will be a verystrong contender for live tv coverage. Nice earner for both clubs. And what a horrible horrible draw for us

I think both the BBC and BT are covering a live match in the 1st round

Nice?

It would only be cheap if it was free to get in, petrol money and a £50 voucher for beer and food.

Lets be honest, there are better places than Bradford to go and it’s going to cost you £40 ish at the best.
