I’ve hypothesised earlier. 👍

Just shows what a ridiculous valuation Allen has of CFC's worth.

No doubt Allen has a ridiculous valuation (reportedly) of CFC.
However I would caution against drawing any conclusions about '£20M' for Wigan.
Is it just the football club (i.e. Without the stadium, which is effectively owned by the holding company)? If so, £20M is an awful lot when the last accounts filed show a £16M assets to liabilities deficit.
I suspect it is, as the holding company, which includes the stadium Company and the football business showed net assets of £46M, so that would be a discount to book values of £26M.

A glance at the table, or his 77% win ratio should tell the new owners all they need to know about their inherent manager.

Trouble is, we are talking football team ownership here, not logic. Wouldn't be first time a successful manager has been replaced by "a high profile signing"

But what the Wigan sale does do, likewise MA putting Newcastle up for sale hoping that due diligence, agreed fee and even structured payments and hoping to have something sorted by Christmas, is show that if someone wants to sell, and is sensible and constructive with prospective buyers then things can be a lot smoother.
We've had DA putting the club up for sale, reported genuine interest from two parties, then an ridiculous, maybe even a rise, in the valuation of £15m, then initial denials of any approach, until certain fans told otherwise, then the club being taken off the market, all signs that DA really doesn't appear over keen on selling ATM, why is anybody's guess, isn't it?

The fact that he has returned - last week and intends to return to some home games is significant. Whether or not he is liked/disliked by whoever etc... is irrelevant. He needs to make funds available to sort this situation out. He can't be blamed for the Caldwell fiasco - fact. The ball's in his court now to make his presence felt...

I am a bit baffled as to how and why it is a fact that He can't be blamed for the Caldwell fiasco - fact

I'd have thought almost everything that occurs off the pitch, and quite a lot of what happens on it is down to the man in ultimate charge. And if it isn't where was he looking?

As regards Newcastle's price. With a name like Amanda Staveley, if she really has that much money to spend, perhaps she could buy us and her own small, semi-detached and very ugly town ........ to re-develop (from Raqqa to resort maybe?).

Isn't Allen quoted as saying it was a mistake not to sack Caldwell at the end of the season?

Caldwell signed the players. Hindsight is great. For me - any blame is that Caldwell should have been sacked in April. Nobody really complained he was still here.

Not quite.

The way I read the DT report was that it suggested that Ashley wanted to sack GC in the summer, with Dave only now agreeing that it was a mistake not to do so.
The greatest miscarriage of justice since my case against the producers of the Never Ending Story

Many fans, including myself were glad at the resultant clear out and were sold down the river with all these "exciting players" that were coming in... you wanted him out in May then?

Once he had shown his inabilities at our level, I never stopped complaining.

When did the transparently obvious exhibition of inability start...?

About February, but fir the sake of fairness, March at the latest, once we had taken stock of his signings and his insistence on tactics his players were plaintively incapable of following.

The board's resident moron provides yet another inaccurate social commentary based upon his own (purposely?) distorted views. Still, at least the moron has avoided blaming stay away fans on this occasion, to which he deserves a modicum of the most patronising credit available.

Where was the "Caldwell-out chant??" You obviously feel you have a good way with words. Try posting your own views, however shallow, basic, unstimulating, inflexible and limited, they are and stop going on like an incorrigible, little delinquent. Go get an ice-cream. :sunglasses

Where was the "Caldwell-out chant??" in March? Go get an ice-cream , troll!

In the above extract, the resident moron seems to insinuate that for fans to be complaining about the manager, they must be singing "[insert manager's name] out!" which is clearly an incorrect and purposely obtuse point to put forward.
