I think if a consortium came forward with £8million now then he would sell, otherwise the value is just going one way

I believe DA was offered significantly more than this but subsequently raised his price. Why he did is anyone’s guess but I believe the rest to be true.

A few opinions.

O'Grady is just another example of Allen's penchant for 'marquee' strikers.

The stadium footprint isn't worth the current debt let alone the four million share purchase.

It was gifted by a developer that I'm sure would have summat to say about Allen then profiting from the asset.

The area is designated as a football stadium in the local plan and it'd be hugely time consuming and expensive to change that.

It'd also be political suicide for any councillors rubber stamping Allen's wishes.

Non-matchday income has plummeted so separating football club from facilities wouldn't pay down the debt much quicker.

Infact it'd result in even more locals boycotting them.

So this owner's left with a virtually bankrupt business that's only gonna gather increasing debt.

There must be a very, very good reason why he doesn't just cut his losses and get out...

We are crying out for a Harry Harris type now.

David Conn, more like..Harris was a complete anchor who was looking to ruin the club rather than Brown.

Corruption and mismanagement in football was much bigger news in 2000/1.

Sadly these days it will take events at a much bigger club than CFC to stir interest within the higher echelons of journalism.

But what do you class as a decent bid? He's turned down two offers on £10m - which is his money back, regardless of what he's taken back from loans or anything else.

Are you including the Swedish bid as one of the offers? No disrespect but it did not appear to be a real offer given the references to Volvo etc. I don't believe that there has been a serious bid of £10m or that anyone as directly engaged with Dave Allen. Serious bidders would approach Dave Allen directly probably through a reputable third financial party.

All offers were made through the clubs accountants.

Our new CEO needs to asked directly whether he is tasked with finding a buyer. His response may come in useful when we come to evaluate his contribution.

Looks like Wigan have been sold for 20m

If Allen wants 15m for us then Wigan is a bargain

Just shows what a ridiculous valuation Allen has of CFC's worth.

Will January tell us anything about DA's plan for the club? If he wants to protect his investment he's going to have to find a way to get 4 or 5 players in (and also get round the wage cap) - if nothing happens he will own a non league club on the brink of collapse.

I find the whole situation very odd, this situation being allowed to meander on. I keep thinking 'his plan will become clear soon' but nothing happens.

The frightening thing might be 'there is no plan' and where would that leave us?
If you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anything.

A glance at the table, or his 77% win ratio should tell the new owners all they need to know about their inherent manager.
