Would that be one of the former employees proven right in everything they've thus far revealed, Nige?

Absolutely Chris.

Every piece of information they've provided has been proven over time to be 100% accurate.

But isn't it strange that the murkier it becomes it sort of becomes clearer at the same time?

Exactly, and the sooner this sh_it is flushed down the bog, the better. It seems at the moment, it's turd after turd stinking out the once good name of Chesterfield FC. So glad they no longer receive a penny more from me at the moment. Once the "swamp's been drained", I'll renew without hesitation. Until then #notapennymore

Do I detect a hint that there was more than one payment received from Ashley's supplier? Surely that will not be the case as it would throw doubt on his explanation.

No doubt it will all come out in the wash.

I like these cryptic clues. Can't wait till tomorra to get the gossip.

I'm guessing that the kit man brought the cheque from his mate at the Assay office and accidentally put it into the washing machine with the DS's dirty kit. When it came out it was illegible and Liam was able to persuade him and the bank manager that it was for the DS. Am I right? It surely can't be anything even more farcical?

I recall when we were initially informed about the payment by RSL to the Development School the figure was actually quoted as being in excess of £7k and was paid by bank transfer.

£7.2k to the non VAT registered DS = £6k to VAT registered CFC.

A washing machine at CFC, now there's a thought. Of course the kit needs keeping clean.

Any suspected misdemeanour or offence can be reported to the authorities. You don't need to be in position of authority so to speak

So, the big question now is this - why hasn't evidence of wrongdoing been presentedto the authorities Are wel Newark? Or are we a Newark which on the surface is legal and sound.

Subpoena need to be issued, or just walk away or shut up. The time has come, its non league with dee dahs or non league from scratch with heavy consequences but a future with fans.

A new hope.

We should be grateful as they clearly regard Mr. Carson and Sheffield's Assay Office as a valued customer. There will not be many companies with no affiliation to the club who would be willing to stick that amount of money into a division 2 football club. Clearly the relationship is a profitable one, hence why they can justify the outlay.

So the football club invoiced Ashley's supplier as they have done in previous seasons for sponsorship, but instead of sending their payment to the club, they sent it to Liam who banked it? OK!

Ashley implies his supplier paid by cheque. For Liam to have banked the cheque, the payee on the cheque would have had to have been CFC Football Development School and not CFC 2001. So an employee of Ashley's supplier processed the invoice from the club but paid Liam's company instead. Who told the employee to make the cheque out to Liam's company?

Either Ashley is telling porky pies or Liam has misrepresented himself and if it was the latter, why has there been no police involvement?

If theoretically he was telling porkies does that mean the claim of fraud against Sutcliffe is false as well?

Wonder what Chris Turner thinks of all this.

The same Chris Turner who Carson's blamed for many issues.

The same Chris Turner who should know the details of this arrangement.

The same Chris Turner now allegedly in dispute with Ashley Carson...
Never underestimate the stupidity of people

My understanding is that Turner is allegedly in dispute with CFC, not Carson. Perhaps the new CEO will get the drains up to get to the bottom of things. On t'other hand, he might turn the other cheek.

Are CFC and Carson not basically the same thing in this case ?

I can't see the new guy digging around in the past, he'd soon be relieved of his duties.

Moondog, would it be possible for you to ask Mr. Carson if he injected a sizeable amount of cash (bank notes) into the development centre?

A cynic might suggest that all this money spinning around (almost like a laundrette, you might suppose) is just one part of the systematic destruction of the club, both on and off the field.
Behind the scenes and on the pitch, that same cynic might ask if it’s all one big scam being played out in the open air?
Whatever is going on, at what point do football autborities or the HMRC ask ‘hang on, what’s gone off at Chesterfield. Should we be looking into this?’
Sadly, the club will be past salvation by then but North Derbyshire will have a premier casino and tumble dryer experience for the cynic to enjoy.
