When is the AGM?

Will Mike Warner be as quick this year as he was last year to try and steer questions away from this topic given the investigations by the EFL and Football Association?

He will likely say it wouldn't be right or proper whilst the FA are continuing their investigations. Hope not, because that wouldn't be right or proper on his part.

Mike of course manipulated the AGM, insisting that most questions about the accounts be moved to AOB. I'll leave you to decide whether this absurdity was an act of genius or ignorance. Any road up, it had the effect that the show of hands approving the accounts quickly went through on the nod, and any later questions which he also quickly halted couldn't affect that outcome.

Did you guys ever get a plausible explanation why a supplier to Sheffield's Assay Office were transferring funds into the company owned by Liam Sutcliffe and Chris Turner?

I've just received a response from AC on this point who says

"There was nothing sinister to this. Regency Shipping are a Secure Transport Company and I have used them at SAO for 15 years. They have sponsored the Academy @ £6,000 a year as a favour to me for the last 6 or 7 years.

About 3 years ago the Development School (Liam Sutcliffe) put a match on for one of the directors under 14’s sides to play one of Liam’s teams and then watch a home game in the afternoon. They kept in touch with Liam.
Regency had then got confused and assumed both the Academy and Development School was one pot and they sent their annual sponsorship to Liam and he banked it. Chris Breeze later highlighted this to me and I stepped in and calrified the situation and the money was transferred from Liam to CFC Academy.

Liam basically saw an opportunity to take £6,000 off Regency by letting them think everything was one big family !!

Mystery solved… they still continue to be a major sponsor of the Academy and this year appear on the shirts as no one else has sponsored the shirts"

How can Sutcliffe secretly persuading Regency Shipping that 'everything was one big family' and then accepting what looks like £6k in cash from them when he knew it was vital for the well being of the Academy not be sinister?

Moondog. Can you please ask Ashley to confirm that this was a single occurrence?

It is a real shame that no one will be able to verify this with Chris as the last time I saw him, coming out of the offices of Banner Jones he looked in a bad way. In fact, I stupidly thought that Banner Jones had started doing dental work because Chris's lips had been sewed together, it then dawned on me what it was, the CFC confidentiality agreement.

If that is true, then it is fraud eg taking money by deception and should have been reported to the police, can you ask AC why he did not do this

Exactly. Does he genuinely think the fans are naive and will accept this as truth and go away??

Simple: his phone had been lost at the exact same moment Liam's laptop went missing, so he couldn't call. As the club and the development centre were 2 separate legal entities, it would have been inappropriate to use the CFC phone for such a frivolous matter.

Or: reporting this would mean explaining that a man who loaned 30k of his own money to the same man who just took 6k from a company that the man who loaned 30k uses for his "real job" just had someone run rings around him...

So Blacks solicitors, with whom the Club had a relationship for a number of years, suddenly got 'confused' over where to send their CCJ, and now Regency Shipping, with whom Carson has had a relationship for fifteen years, got similarly 'confused' where to send their cheque. A cheque that'd presumably gone into the right account for quite some time.

And I'd echo the question of why Sutcliffe wasn't at the very least disciplined and better still charged with fraud?

Or is that being handled by the same department that're handing the alleged hacking of Carson's social media...

There doesn’t appear to have been many financial controls at the club for a very long time

Hasn't he confirmed it is by only referring to one of the annual £6,000 payments being given to Liam ?
