I think he divulged about 1% of all that he knows about the enterprise across the road.

Dont blame them, completely pointless surrounded by clubs who have bigger junior leagues and established academies, might as well start at 16.

Somebody paid the Liquidator's fee at the last minute to allow the crucial meeting to proceed.
Ashley was reacting to speculation that that somebody could have been him.
The man in the street might incorrectly deduce that whoever paid that fee might thereafter have influence with the Liquidator and Ashley was at pains to point out that it wasn't him guv.

Our Company Secretary sounds fed up and really at a loss at how to solve our mounting problems.

But I'm pretty sure he had a gig at the CFCFDS.
Anyway, my understanding - and I'm happy to retract and apologise for any information if disproven - is that 'Regency Shipping', a company apparently associated with Ashley's Assay Office, sponsored/s Mark Smith's Academy.
Good stuff, thanks very much AC and 'RS'.
However one of the many allegations of those exposing corruption at the CFCFDS is that a pretty sizeable cheque from 'RS' found it's way into one of that enterprise's accounts.
Maybe this never happened at all. Maybe it'll be covered in the Liquidator's report. Maybe Ashley will have a perfectly innocent explanation.
Maybe this entire thread will prove totally unfounded...
Did you guys ever get a plausible explanation why a supplier to Sheffield's Assay Office were transferring funds into the company owned by Liam Sutcliffe and Chris Turner?

We have not received plausible explanations for that question along with a good many more.

the rumour can't be true otherwise one might conclude that Ashley had control of both CFC and CFCDS bank accounts, which clearly can't be right as Ashley has flatly denied it. It does beg the question though as to how he was able to confirm that the foreign trip hadn't been booked. It's a complicated old world. I think he's too trusting.

Ah well, no need for assumptions any more......
'The rot has got to stop somewhere, the club at the moment is just imploding, it’s been destroyed and it’s just so wrong'
I personally think it would be better to get this clarified before the AGM. I hope the new man doesn't think that a reassuring 'don't worry, this was DA's problem, he's taken the hit and it's private' will placate supporters.
