Ian Evatt seems to have turned out for Ashover 2s at Queens Park yesterday. About as successful as Saturday's football unfortunately for him.

Yeh signed on for our Sunday 2nds in the Mansfield league. Still registered with Whitt Wanderers in the YDCL on Saturdays. Was due to play for us after the Grimsby game but dropped out after being sent off.

I had a stroll around your firsts game when they were batting. It seemed a pretty gentle standard for the top division.

Mansfield league top division? Not played in it but think it depends who you're playing and when. Can be on the end of an overseas or welbeck away you get some of their stars. Aside from that it's not brilliant I don't think. Also doesn't help that even if you win Div 1 you can decline promotion to the prem.

I noticed that Mr Ashover got a mention for another club for getting a few runs!

Left earlier this season, only played 2 or 3 for them.

Ashes squad named.....

Posted Image

From that you are probably looking at a side of :-
Cook, Stoneman, Ballance\Vince, Root, Stokes, Bairstow, Ali, Woakes, Broad, Ball, Anderson

Just depends if they decide to move Root to 3 to fit Ballance or Vince in at 5 instead.

and not seen anything in Overton to explain his selection, but at least they haven't picked that Surrey gimp Curran!

Ball is just a normal English Seamer and will get destroyed in Oz - needed some pace to have something different, such as Plunkett

Not a fan of Ballance, had a couple of goes now and whilst he may be batting in a position he doesnt for Yorkshire that doesnt excuse the fact he looks a fish out of water half the time. I'm not a Rashid fan at all, ok in the ODIs but never looked the part in tests including in spin friendly conditions. For a long time they picked Rashid as there wasnt another viable option.

Have a feeling Stokes may be staying at home to be honest

Need to know the whole story to be honest. The video the sun have released after it "emerged" last night, probably with the help of a few quid from them i suspect isnt showing the full story. Some talk this morning that it came on the back of either him being threatened by two lads with glass bottles or the latest one which is saying he jumped in to defend two gay lads being threatened by some lads with glass bottles.

I'm not hanging him out to dry until the full story is out there. Still think he'll play in the first test.

Can see him swing at a lad who looks to have a glass bottle in his hand so story fits.

Wasn't really commenting on the incident, more about how the ECB are likely to deal with it.

If they follow the Aussie lead when they had to deal with Warner belting Root a while back they will ban him for a few games that dont matter and he'll be back for the first test!!

The video suggests to me someone going far further than merely defending himself and whoever he was with.

What an idiot to put himself in that position at any time, let alone during an ODI series.

You all need to,see the video of him mimicking Katie Price's disabled son

THIS IS WHY HE HAS BEEN TAKEN OUT OF THE ENGLAND SQUAD

I doubt and hope he never ever represents my country ever again

As somebody who has grown up with a severly disabled sister this cuts a little too close to the bone for my liking
