I find it more sexist to promote something sub standard just because a particular gender play it.

Oh my God I cannot believe this ^

Not necessarily sexist as such - just bleeding stupidness

In your reasoning women shouldn't play sport at all I guess?
The women's top 100m sprinter is over a second slower than the men.

The women's 10k runner is 3 minutes behind the men

Etc etc

John McEnroe (actually unfairly) got into bother by saying Serena would be beaten by a man ranked 700th in the world. Of course she would. No one is arguing this.

But your argument is stating that women shouldn't play sport and that's a poor show.
(Especially ironic as saying 'the standard is pathetic' by a guy behind his keyboard in Chesterfield who supports the 88th best team in England! Maybe we should scrap all but the Premier League- in fact sod that just keep the top 5 clubs)?

What are you comparing it with to come to that conclusion?

I just dont think the hype and exposure match the quality of the product and I especially loathe that any criticism automatically makes you sexist.

I also think Aluko has played a blinder, just watch what happens to her soon, no doubt some ambassador role will come a knocking. Not good enough to do something? No problem just complain, assert some accusations and jobs a good un. Nice pay off and no doubt some media hype towards a career on or off the pitch.

The women complain they arent taken as seriously as the men, they complain they arent paid as much as the men. Maybe they should consider why that is.

Criticism doesn't automatically make you sexist. I hope most of us simply realise that men's football has been around way longer thus they're far better. They've been coached to a higher standard and there are more men playing football thus more chance of a better standard. They always will be better due to genetics anyway, as you know. This doesn't mean women's football deserves derision. Why some blokes love repeatedly calling is sh** is honestly beyond me.

What racism? The independent enquiry cleared him.

Did Aluko get cleared rrom making false allegations due to her being dropped? Am i ok to make stuff up to suit the argument?

What I think we can state without fear of contradiction is it's another FA mess.

A bloke's been in a job for three years yet his boss only read the detail of his CV this week.

And those details were so supposedly damning he was out the door before it could hit him on the ass.

It's this sort of PR disaster that results in modest yet squeaky clean managers like Southgate getting the main gig.

I'm just glad everyone that arrives at CFC receives comprehensive vetting...

I learned a lesson from it about the principle of not getting offended on somebody else's behalf. I think that's what's happened here.

It is difficult to believe that the words Independent and Inquiry can appear in any sentence connected to the FA.

I suppose you'll be at the bottom of your gardens snapping the fairies playing around Benedict Cumberbatch tonight.

As has been shown many times in the past being a moderately successful manager does not equate to any abiding ability either to keep your bits appropriately inside your trousers or to switch on the editor in your brain before opening your mouth ........ Glenn Hoddle's quite a nice bloke but he could never see why expressing a belief that disabled people are paying for sins in a previous life upset them, so what hope for Mark Sampson?

I wonder why black footballers don't complain about racism until they haven't all that much to lose?
I wonder why gay footballers never come out?

Read this thread and weep.

How about Colin Jackson and Eniola Aluko as our new management team?

What's that, the deathly sound of white males emptying their baked beans down their dubious tee-shirts?

It's okay to call town a joke but not women's football when its arguable that both are equally as **** - world's gone mad end of. As is the covering up of the Tranmere flags at the England game, as is people moaning about the Lukaku song. Some people would literally find something to be offended at in an empty room nowadays.

Things like this in my opinion actually do more harm than good for the kick it out campaign. Highlighting nothing of nothing things by over the top pic brigade like this actually deminishes the concerns of real racial issues and makes it harder for charities/campaigns from doing their job properly.

She was dropped for "unlioness behaviour" not ability/form

When it comes to black or Muslim people you become a very strange individual.
Are you 11 years old and never stepped out of your village?

I think I may have shared a coach back from the 2012 JPT final with him.
These go to eleven.

Indeed - and if the argument being made is that sport is only worth following if it's performed by the very best athletes at the very top level then none of us would be following our respective clubs, would we?

Let's get it rate..women's football has been around for decades, especially in America, where it is extremely popular and has gained a lot of funding/advertising; the quality is still shiz! Of course, there are the extremely rare players that actually have talent, but in the main they are not worth the money they are paid.

Our lot are utter Bunkum! The reason Sampson got looked over three years ago is because we weren't third in the world and nobody gave a fk. Over the last three years, the game hasn't remotely exploded (like some thought it would), attendances are still pathetic, but stupid money has been thrown at it, over-inflating egos and creating greed.

Some black lass (who, imo, was and still is Bunkum; can't control a ball for toffee) throws the phrase 'racist connotation' around, and suddenly there's an investigation...coincidentally, at the same time as better forwards are brought into the team.

So...let me get this right. Sampson allegedly said something to a black player about being in prison..and that isn't taken as a joke, but as racial stereotyping? Sampson gets cleared of said offence but then gets booted because of something from three years ago that nobody cared about back then because nobody knew who the fk he was?

BONKERS!

Aluko takes 80k off the FA, so as to not disrupt the Euros...yeah, she must have genuinely been rate offended! I mean, come on! Justice over money, any day of the week; in my eyes, her credibility goes straight out of the window by taking the money.
