He will go to 3 at the back again because he is obsessed with the formation.

Reverting to a back 3 tomorrow at Newport will further serve as notice that Caldwell hasn't got a clue. 4 at the back, Flores in midfield...you know it makes sense Gary

Maybe
Lee
Wiseman (or Barry) Evatt Hird Kellett
Sinnott Weir Reed Flores
O'Grady Dennis

Sinnott seems a CM only to me, not great at tracking back and not particularly fast so can't see him out on the right. Doubt we'll change from the 5-3-2 or 4-1-3-2 which I've seen us use both home games.

Lee
Hird Evatt Wiseman
Barry-----------------------Kellett
Sinnott-Reed/Weir-Flores
O'Grady-Dennis

Lee
Wiseman-Hird-Evatt-Kellett
Weir
Sinnott-Reed-Flores
O'Grady-Dennis

Summat like that

Good point.

Sinnott will play behind the front 2 and in front of the midfield 3. He's our main strike threat after Dennis and he's bludddy good at spotting a forward run. That means Reed and Flores have to learn the defensive side of CM pretty quickly to help Weir.

Or we still need another CM?
Perkins was rumoured, an unused sub in all Wigan's games so far

Could GC be gradually moving towards 4 at the back as the preferred formation, on advice from GB? Switching between 3 and 4 as a bit of a face-saving manoeuvre? Just a thought.

Oops, edited to Barry. Or McGinn. Don't really know the difference between them.

Just been told another player in this afternoon on a permanent deal, 'one for the future'.

Plus, a couple of our young 'uns are going out on loan, and one senior player might be leaving.

No names given.

Good info here, my friend.

Not sure wether he will start...manager has stated he's a couple of weeks behind in his fitness..He will probably feature at some point starting or not...As far as the starting 11 and system can't see it changing much from how we ended up against Vale...then again the manager may well change the system to suit the situation and how the opposition are playing several times during the game. He wants this flexibility and I'm sure we won't finish the game as we start it.
