A few weeks ago my daughter attended the 150 th anniversary dinner at the Proact, she text me and said that she was sat next to a ex footballer called Dave Waller and did I know him(she's 19)Being one of my favourite town players I told her about him and how much I enjoyed watching him play, the upshot is that Dave took time out before kick off yesterday to find me in my seat in the East Stand and have a chat with me and pose for a couple of photos.
With the result it made it a perfect day.

What a player... First started watching Town when he was banging in the goals in the Kop end. One of my all time favs with Norris, Lester and Bruno.

No surprise, he is an absolutely top bloke and a very good choice for one of these match day host roles

It was cold, it was miserable but at the end it was fantastic. Remember the game like it was yesterday, it pips his winner against sheff utd into first place as my favourite Waller goal.

Horrible night and a woeful first half performance but even though I think the match was a nothing game no one there will ever forget it!

Still think Rhino's (or was it John Cooke, time plays tricks) in the 4-3 against Bolton just better that for me..

Tough one though
